Compared to my current location (color Canyon RV Park), this place is worthy of an upgrade to 5 stars. Not perfect, but relativity is a thing, so thank you again staff. I look forward to my next stay with ya!
Beware of spiders- I have had close encounters with a brown recluse and black widow!
Manager and staff are excellent. I was able to get a slot that is working out pretty well...much better! Thanks for being a pro, yo!
I felt it necessary to reduce the star rating to 3, as you all can see, for the following reasons:
there is a dug up, exposed sewer line with leaky water on the spot adjacent to mine, and is within the half grassy patch that I was later notified as being the one for my spot #163. the power hookup is several feet, at an angle behind the pad for RVs, which requires the vehicle to be parked really far back. So far, in fact, that I cannot connect to the sewer....not a wise setup. So I have paid for amenities that are impossible to utilize. Other available spots have the appropriate configuration.
We'll see if management remedies this poor situation tomorrow. Good night and much love!
Early assessment After a couple of grueling months in the Winnebago heat with no power, I made the decision to sell my electric fatbike in exchange for a one month rent payment for this location in order to provide my dogs with a more habitable, less heatstroke causing set of conditions.
I have zero remorse making that deal up to this point.
There are trees, grass, several clean restrooms with showers, an awesome cabin style clubhouse equipped with a TV, pool table upstairs, and many books and DVDs to enjoy. Also important to me is the fact that the residents are pleasant, quiet, considerate, friendly, and seem to be overall good.
It is only 3 days in, but so far I am stoked on this place. Thank you for being here,...
Read moreFellow RVer, I want to let you know we have been RVing for 8 years now. We have traveled from Oregon to New York, North Dakota to New Mexico, and many points in between. In the numerous RV parks and State Parks, where we have spent time, Willow Wind is in a rare upper echelon of the very best RV parks. If you are visiting Southern Utah do yourself a favor and stay at Willow Wind, you won't regret it! Being 30 minutes to Zion National park, numerous State Parks, and being able to easily walk to the grocery store, post office, restaurants, movies, etc... plus a short drive to other "big city" amenities in St George, the location and convenience is better than any RV park where we have stayed. Willows Wind is simply in an unbeatable location to have as your base camp for exploration of the wonders of Southern Utah! Besides being in a superb location, Willow Wind is clean, has paved roads, curb and gutter, concrete pads, full hookups, nice shower and bathrooms, nice laundry facilities, lots of trees and open spaces, a walking trail, and a well appointed clubhouse. Plus, get this: you actually have space between you and your neighbors. That alone is a rarity in commercial RV parks. Combine all that with a friendly staff: Rick, Jamie, Dalance, Waka, Billie, Roger, Greg, Kathie, etc... who treat you like family, and you get what very well may be the best all-around RV park anywhere. We enthusiastically recommend Willow Wind as a home away from home...
Read moreOverall enjoyed staying here, it was one of the quietest campgrounds weve ever stayed at. Reviews and pics were slightly deceiving as we traveled from FL hoping to stay near Zion in a mountain setting and/or views which the pics depicted. Campground is located across from hotel which was directly in front of our site and the only view we had. Its definitely in the middle of town, nestled between Wendys, hotel and residential neighborhood. Everyone was pleasant aside from Doug, who got upset when we asked if there was a site not directly in front of the hotel, because apparently the hotel lets staff swim in their pool. Doug also targeted kids in the campground including my sons. Doug kicked my 16 and 15 year olds out of clubhouse for playing pool without an adult, so when they let me know I chaperoned their pool game. Doug came back to clubhouse not knowing I was there and told now they needed to get the hell out. When he saw me he got quiet and left. I think Doug needs to move on, especially when teens still bring him up after staying at 4 different campgrounds since our stay at WillowWind. If not for Doug would...
