We tried this Resturant for the first time last night. What we ordered: Spicy Fried Rice with shrimp. Fried rice with shrimp. Potstickers. Orange chicken comes with a small side of white rice. 1 fountain drink. Cost: $70. Location: Convenient. Right off of Main Street by the movie theatre Staff: Friendly & helpful Time: We placed a pick up order. They said food would be about 15 min & that was accurate. Food was warm & ready when we arrived. Price: This is where we are a little disappointed. The amount of food we got, compared to the price we spent, was not ideal. Our order plus small tip for our take out order was $70. If I’m going to spend that much on a meal, I’m not going to choose to go here. I wish we got more potstickers for $9. Quality: It was decent. Not fantastic. Not bad. The rice tasted as expected. The orange chicken was better than excepted & this is where I could tell it was authentic vs somewhere like Panda Express Options: They had a decent amount of options. However I don’t like that you can’t customize your dish. When ordering fried rice, you can pick chicken shrimp or beef. But you can’t select the type of chicken. Normally we get orange chicken or sweet & sour chicken with fried rice. You can’t do that here. The chicken is chicken. You must order a seperate dish of your preferred chicken. My husband ordered the spicy fried rice. They asked on a scale of 1-5 how spicy he wants it. He asked for a 4. He said it wasn’t spicy at all. Overall it was a neutral experience. If we could customize our order more, i think it would lower the cost, & therefore we would go back. But I don’t see us going back in the future. I’d rather spend $70 elsewhere.

Tried this years ago and it was awful. Decided to give them another chance because I love Thai food. This time the food was actually good but the portions were incredibly small and the prices are high for what you get. Got the drunken noodle lunch box and the box was small and only half full. They gave me a handful of lettuce with a tomato slice on it. Salad I guess but why? No dressing was provided. Just give enough drunken noodles to make me full. My daughter got the spring rolls and they were tiny. See photos with my hand for reference. Service was fast and the lady was nice. Flavor was good and the Spicy 4 was actually on point this time because the last time I ate there it wasn’t spicy at all. I have no idea why they have a ton of table chairs stuffed into the dining room, it was completely empty when I went at 2:00 and it looked like you would just hit your back against the person behind you and have no privacy at all. Management should work on a better layout and less chairs so the dining area is more inviting. Pro tip: charge a little more and give people more food! If you’re looking for a date night out with Thai food just go to Royal Thai in Saint George. Similar prices but much bigger portions! I always have leftovers when I go there.

We were a little hesitant about eating at this place because of the mixed reviews. But we were so happy we didn't listen to some of these reviews. We have been to Thailand many times before and are also from Asian descent, so we know good Asian food like Thai. Well the food here was very good, tasted like most of what we had in Thailand. And they do serve your dinner on regular plates (no plastics!) and regular cutlery (also no plastics!). The Masaman Curry tasted delicious and also their mixed vegetables. The Mango Sticky Rice was 10 out of 10! About some dishes being to overly sweet, I understand that people from outside the US might think this is too sweet. And perhaps even some Americans. But that is a matter of preference. It is a fact that most Americans like their food a little on the sweet side so the restaurant tries to accomodate on that matter. For me it was no issue, but you can ask the owner if they make the food not too sweet. It is kind of a diner and they serve food at your table and the portions are big enough. So I really would recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious!

I really hate to do this, but our experience here was pretty bad. I've ordered from here in the past through the VIP theater across the street and loved the food. I usually ordered either Pad Thai or Drunken Noodles and both were great. However, this time was rough. It was the first time I had been inside the restaurant. I brought my two kids with me. We were starving when we got there. I was in the mood for Pho and I knew both my kids really like crab cheese rangoons. They also had some basic dishes like chicken soup so I thought it would be a good place to go. There was no one at the front to greet us when we arrived. I saw a girl cleaning off and setting tables. She saw me looking at her several times and continued doing what she was doing. Finally after a long while and my kids asking how long we would have to wait, she came over acting a bit annoyed and finally seated us. It took a little while, but when someone came to take our order, we ended up ordering crab cheese rangoons, chicken and rice soup, orange chicken, and pho. When the food came out I started to notice this weird unappetizing smell. When I took my kids soup to blow on it to cool it down I realized the smell was coming from her soup. I took a taste and gagged. She took a bite and she gagged. I moved the soup to the side so we couldn't smell it anymore, but the smell was still there. I then realized the smell was also coming from my pho. I spent two years with the Vietnamese people so I know what Vietnamese Pho tastes like. Maybe Thai Pho is a little different? I'm not sure what ingredient was causing this bad smell/taste but I was only able to choke down a little of my food. The rangoons were good. The Orange chicken was good. My daughter was full from the rangoons so I figured I could just fill up on the orange chicken. My kids had to go to the bathroom and after a while I quickly went to check on them. When we got back the orange chicken was gone, the add ons for the pho were gone, the rice was gone...the only thing that remained were The Pho and Soup, neither of which we liked. Nobody came to apologize when they saw that we hadn't left. Nobody even mentioned anything about it. Why did they think we had left?...we hadn't even paid our bill yet. My kids begged me to order the fried banana with ice cream for desert. I felt bad since nether of them were able to eat much of their food, so I gave in. The fried banana and ice cream was sub par. After that all I wanted to do was get out of there and go home. I paid the overpriced $50 bill and left. Needless to say, I don't think I'll be ordering from...

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic meal.

The first thing that caught my attention was the extensive menu, offering a wide range of Vietnamese and Thai dishes. Whether you’re a fan of traditional pho, flavorful curries, or fresh spring rolls, Mekong has something to satisfy every palate. The menu also includes vegetarian and vegan options, ensuring that everyone can find something to enjoy.

I started my meal with the fresh spring rolls, and they were absolutely delicious. The rolls were packed with a generous amount of crisp vegetables and succulent shrimp, all wrapped in delicate rice paper. The accompanying peanut dipping sauce added a delightful tangy and nutty flavor that perfectly complemented the rolls.

For my main course, I opted for the classic Vietnamese dish, pho. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of spices. The thinly sliced beef was tender and cooked to perfection, while the rice noodles added a satisfying texture to the dish. The pho came with a plate of fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and lime wedges, allowing me to customize the flavors to my liking.

The service at Mekong Restaurant was exceptional. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist with any questions or special requests. The food was served promptly, and the presentation was visually appealing, adding to the overall dining experience.

The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with tasteful decorations and comfortable seating. The soft background music created a relaxing atmosphere, allowing me to enjoy my meal in peace.

Overall, I highly recommend Mekong Restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious Vietnamese or Thai dining experience in La Verna, Utah. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, the food is fresh and flavorful, and the service is top-notch. Whether you’re a fan of Asian cuisine or simply looking to try something new, Meekong Restaurant is definitely...
