I just spent all day (9 hours) at this Verizon store to solve a technical problem. Even so, I have nothing but positive feedback for the employees at this store. I looked for a greener pasture (cheaper cell phone plan by Visible) and it created a mess with my iPhone after trying to revert back. Doh! I came to this store and all employees stuck with me for the entire 9 hours. They would not quit! After about 6 hours of being on the phone, Jace the manager stepped in when he noticed I was getting frustrated. There was a moment when I considered going to corporate headquarters to solve the issue but Jace stated, “We are not going take this problem and make it someone else’s problem.” That is a true leader. Believe me, I know after working decades with scientists and engineers.
Throughout the day, my wife and I observed the team: Jace, Eddy, and guy with the Omega hand tattoo (Sorry, I forgot your name). This Verizon team connected with the customers. They personally knew a few of them and it kinda had a small-time vibe like Mayberry. I loved it! They worked hard to make everyone a priority and strive to fulfill their needs.
I’m grateful they restored my iPhone so we could get back to our vacation. All three employees were professional, respectful, courteous, persistent, and more patient with people than I would ever be. Best of all, they took ownership of a problem I partially created and stuck with it until it was resolved.
If corporate Verizon is reading this, you need to send a representative to this store and listen to what they have to say to improve online Verizon support. Having witnessed it myself, there are a few opportunities of improvements related to training, process, and coding that Verizon needs to improve and this team can tell you exactly how to do...
Read moreThis location is so unhelpful.
My first experience with this location was great. I spoke to the manager - Ernie? He was great. Patient. Answered all of my questions.
There were issues with my phone so I was forced to upgrade.
When I came to upgrade, it was approx 615. Store closes at 7. That was the earliest I could get to a location. I had to wait for another customer to finish. Than it was my turn. I told the employee I had to upgrade bc my phone was having issues.
He told me he didn’t have time to help me, I’ll have to come back.
I told him my phone was backed up & all. I just needed a new phone. I could do the rest.
He went in the back to check for the phone I wanted. They didn’t have it. That’s annoying but not his fault.
I asked about ordering it online. He said I could do that. I told him I hadn’t done that before & asked for help doing so.
He told me he would help me but he had to close the store. He was much more focused on having to start closing the store than helping me.
I went home, ordered the phone online.
Now that I have the new phone, I called asking how to delete apps.
He said I’d have to go to an apple store, call apple support or pay $25 for his help.
I called a local Simply Mac in St George. Explained that I couldn’t delete apps. He said there’s an issue with the phone itself & I need to start the download process over.
I do not recommend going to the Hurricane Verizon. Instead, go to Simply Mac for your iPhone needs. They are so much more patient,...
Read moreYet another shady phone sales store. I went in to buy a new phone, didn't want it activated yet, just needed to buy a phone for business. My family was at a near by shop, so I thought I would make use of a few extra minutes. I was very clear that I just wanted to buy a phone and I would activate it myself later. Yet when I paid for the phone and the bill was higher I expected, I was told it was just the taxes. Because I asked that they email me the receipt I didn't have access to verify it. After leaving the store I realized my current phone wasn't working. After driving away I learned that they had activated the new phone against my wishes, oh and when I got the receipt, they charged me $20 to activate it. Showed up as Mobile Go Activation. Because we were on a family vacation and didn't see the charge until we were 20 min down the road, it wasn't worth my time for $20 to go back. Plus it's so exhausting arguing with these type of employees and the system is so cumbersome to wait for them to make a change they know it's not worth your time to fight for a $20 charge. It's just dishonest, especially given the fact I asked about the extra costs and they blantantly lied and said it was just taxes. I take some blame here but it's still misleading and dishonest. So many unethical...
