If you want to attend an event at the Mountain America Center, this is a very close and convenient place to stay. From the parking lot of this hotel, you will turn left on Snake River Parkway, left again on S. Pioneer Road, and about two minutes later you will be there. MyPlace hotels are comfortable and have kitchenettes but do not have dishes or cooking utensils in the units. There is a small selection of food and utensils in the lobby, but you will of course find a much bigger selection at the Walmart that is about half of a mile from the hotel, on S. Utah Avenue. To get to this Walmart, just come out of the parking lot by crossing Snake River Parkway onto S. Utah Avenue. Follow S. Utah as it curves and goes through a traffic circle, and then you will see Walmart on your left. The MyPlace Hotel in Idaho Falls is easy to find by using Exit 116 from Interstate 15. There is not much in the area of the hotel itself except construction (as of October 2024), but the three roads I mentioned can take you places in Idaho Falls that are more interesting, such as downtown. The rooms are comfortable and have what you would expect from a typical,...
Read moreCons: Our original room reeked of urine so we were moved. In our new room the bedding was horrible. All variety of different hairs (curly, straight, long, short, dark, red, brown, you name it!) and pilled up furs in the duvet covers. We complained and were handed new sheets to replace ourselves. I believe this is an issue with the washers, hopefully not neglect of housekeeping.
Pros: Rooms were modern w good features like stovetop, sink, full sized fridge. Friendly helpful staff.
Overall: Nice decently clean room. Beautiful area. But annoying nearby train and I’d expect clean sheets to sleep on after a long day without the worry of inhaling the hairs of 5 other strangers. I’m getting itchy...
Read moreHands down one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in, it is brand new. Everything looked very nice and not cheap like most other hotels in this price range. I felt like it was very good value for the price. The room was huge, kitchen was awesome, comfortable bed, spotless room & bathroom. Wendy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Don't expect to have breakfast, or pool etc, its geared toward extended stay guests and helps them keep their prices low. A small fitness center would be a nice addition though. I was most impressed by how quiet the room was even with the proximity to the highway. You can't hear it at all! The AC/heater, kitchen appliances and bathroom fan were...
