Love at First Bite — Restaurant in Idaho Falls

I am always blown away by the items in this shop just as much as the customer service. Went in yesterday 20 minutes before they closed. My husband and I just happened to pass by as we head home and i made a joke about how you cant just drive by without stopping to get a cupcake. I am 22 weeks pregnant and have been dreaming about those cupcake for days. We don’t live in IF and this was the route we needed avoiding traffic to get home. My loving husband pulled the car over so fast i didn’t have a chance to say I was joking. And of course now I am committed to going in and getting a cupcake. Keep in mind they are about to close and I work in food service, so sometimes getting a customer that late in the day isn’t always exciting. I pop in and head straight to the deserts. A gentleman helped me find the last red velvet. I would have gotten something else if they didnt have it but Red Velvet is what i have been dreaming about for the last couple days. Not only was this man patient enough to help me look but he chatted with me about the day. Most people looking to close shop just kinda hang back and pray you leave soon. I did not get that treatment. I got a kind man who found the last cupcake and he was dissatisfied in only having one left making the comment that I probably didn’t come in for just one. I can see the dilemma in his head as a good customer service rep. Do you make more for the pregnant Lady and risk going home late? Will she ask? Absolutely not! I guessed what was in his head and stated that one is all i needed. I was just excited they had one left being so late in the day. This kind man gave it to me on the house. I assumed it was because he might have already closed the register so i explained that i had exact change for it. He said nope that it was on the house because not many people come in and leave happy with just one cupcake. He thanked me and wished me a good day.

I dont know if this shop gets many people who will make a scene over cupcakes. I hope they don’t because they are always kind. Its a pleasure to visit this shop no matter the time. This is quite the store! I was hesitant to go in because it's a small space and it felt cluttered to me, but I went in, and I was surprised. The guy asked me if I needed help and I told him I was told to come for candy. He told me where the candy areas were and I was surprised to see they had a decent amount of retro candies. I'm a fat kid and I love retro candy, so I felt like I hit the jackpot! I will definitely go back to check out the meat and bread section, then I'll go back again to check their sweets section, then I'll go back to check out the rest of the store. First things first this store does practice COVID 19 awareness and social distancing. Visiting Idaho Falls? Come see this store... but what is it? A specialty store, a bakery, or what? They just have everything! They have souvenirs, clothing, bags, jewelry, chocolate, cupcakes and more!!! I can spend more than an hour in here.

Love their little Knick knacks and by the way they have seasonal stuff. The time I came was October so you’ll see pics of Halloween items. I loved this store I was everywhere, it’s not that big but there’s so much stuff to look at. So, I hope the pictures I took and posted will help you see what’s in the store!
