I had my first and only Culver's experience on a road trip to Wisconsin a few years ago. Living in Montana there was no chance of a repeat performance. Have been traveling to UT yearly and found out that there was a Culver's in Idaho Falls but despite my best efforts I couldn't make a visit happen. This past weekend I had to travel to Boise and vowed that I would make the effort to get there and I am so glad I did. I know this sounds like a lot of passion for a fast food place and it it probably is. I try not to even eat fast food but this place is so good that I allowed myself a cheat/treat meal. Service is great and fast, the restaurant was clean and it feels more like a restaurant than a burger place. The menu has a ton of options and all of the staff was super friendly. I went with a double Butterburger deluxe, some crinkle fries, a side of coleslaw and their Culver's root beer to wash it down. Frickin delicious - every - single - bite! As I was finishing my meal the manager came around with a tray of individual servings of their custard flavor of the day - chocolate with pecans, caramel, and toffee bits - for free!! How could I say no?? I chatted with him for a bit - very nice fellow. It's probably a good thing for my cholesterol level that I live in a state with no Culver's but it will always be a guilty pleasure of mine and will gladly stop by and indulge the next time I am in...
Read moreCulvers is normally a great place with great food and awesome service, but today was an exception. My wife and I ordered custard and normally the staff would scoop that immediately after the order, we’re out the door, no problem. Today we got a number and then waited over ten minutes for our order. We saw a large family that ordered AFTER us get served. We decided to finally go up to the counter to see what was going on. They had gotten mine ready right away but left it on the counter. My wife’s was nowhere in sight. We decided to ask about our custard and they had completely lost the order! After they found my wife’s in a freezer area, they tried to give us the half melted mess of a cone that they had made 10 minutes ago. I asked for a fresh cone which the kindly gave me and we were finally out the door. As we waited for our order however, I couldn’t help but notice a line piling up and only a couple employees working while half a dozen were talking amongst themselves. For a company that prides themselves on customer service (and usually provides it!! I’ve been to plenty of Culver’s in Wisconsin and they have always been great) I was pretty dissapointed in the laziness and lack of enthusiasm. This is their first location in Idaho and if they want to expand they should maintain the customer service that has brought them so much success in other areas. Please retrain...
Read moreI ordered curd-side and was given a time my did would be ready and I checked in via text when we arrived. 10 minutes after the time I went inside to see if there was a problem with my order. It was not busy. I was instantly greeted by a very friendly employee. I asked about my order and he said "oh shoot, is it this one that's been sitting here?" It was. I wasn't too upset, mistakes happen. I took it home and didn't check it before I left because he had looked at the receipt and said everything but the drinks were ready, which I went and got myself at a very dirty drink counter. When I got home and started handing out the food, I realized our 8 piece chicken strip was missing, all the sauces and fries were there and it was included on the receipt, but no chicken. I was at my daughter's home and she lived about 10 minutes away. I did not want to go back. I called and was given a manager to speak to. I explained what happened and she was very friendly and apologetic. She said she had to let her manager know and that they would contact me the next day. It's now been four days and I've not heard a word. I probably won't be going back to this...
