On a trip to help my daughter house hunt I planned to stay a week, so chose the In Town Suites as they were only 1 of a few extended stay places I could afford, it was some distance from where my daughter was staying at that her company was paying for. || I had made reservations well in advance. When I arrived, they did not have the room I had made reservations for, 1 queen bed, as the people did not check out of that room as planned. The manager was very nice, and apologized, he did give me $20 discount on the 2 bed room that was available, it was more expensive even with the discount, and I was disappointed, as I was on a tight budget, but the discount helped a little..( I only used one of the beds.)|| The room was clean but a bit musty smelling like it had not been aired out. All rooms are fitted with complete kitchen, (refrig, Micro, 2 burner stove, small sink) table with 2 chairs, but no utensils or cookware.||The parking lot was well lit, and I felt safe coming and going alone ( I am a middle aged women)||There were a lot of newer cars, so I felt my rental car was safe as well. I was on the first floor and was afraid there would be a lot of noise above/on the side, but pleasantly surprised that I only heard cars starting, in the AM to go to work, as there seemed to be a lot of working/professional ppl staying there.||I had planned to stay a week but luckily my daughter found a house within 4 days. The hotel does not refund for un-used days, so that was a big draw back. I paid in advance for a week, so ended up paying the same amount per night average as I would have if I had stayed at a hotel closer to my daughter. (oh well, my mistake not the hotels)||The BIGGEST drawback was the office was closed on Sundays, and they did not open until 11 AM on Monday. I need to get home ASAP so the only flight I could get was in the AM so there was no way to contact the office to let them know I was checking out early, to get my deposit back, as they require a 24 hour notice to process refunds. ||All in all I would recommend the IN Town Suites to anyone that needs to stay in that area of town for more...
Read moreWe paid for a month at this location while in houston as visitors im very disappointed disgusted and really wanted to tell the property manager about herself in an very rude and disrespectful fashion i regret every penny i spent here my first problem the room I received had major damages smelled like smoke at first entry and had roaches. When i specifically told them before arrival i have a child with bad allergies and moderate severe asthma!!! She ignored that at check in and did tge exact thing i told her not to do put us in a smoking room near other rooms with smokers!!! The housekeeper only came in to look at and in our stuff and be nosy i never trusted stepping out the room for her because she didnt clean a thing they have you step out your room to be in your personal business and complain about where to sit your personal items down in your room not to clean or fix maintenance issues. And Lucy Bullock for her to act like she owns the place and always trying to enforce unnecessary rules she needs way better customer service training she acts as if she’s spending her money paying for your room and she complains to much she made us not even want to renew the following month at this location never. She’s worried about how you park or cereal on the fridge but not why its homeless drunk men sleeping on the stairs at odd times of night and early morning and there are kids and families getting off the bus there daily witch was a major safety concern for my family.. The location is convenient and very close to alot of things thats why im giving 2 stars you can get what you will need or want but as far as the services by the manager and employee's and the room quality for the price I’ll never come back to this location. They need to learn to respect people and their hard earned money here. Whoever owns this place needs to reevaluate the management because lucy is gonna keep alot of people from bringing...
Read moreI lived here for a year. One day my husband was sick, there was a new receptionist we had never seen before banging on the door. I did not answer. I have 4 kids and a sick husband and was not expecting anybody and also very tied up. She proceeded to open the door. I immediately ran to push the door close out of natural reaction, I seen the blue work shirt and was a bit confused as to why she knocked on the door so aggressively, she very rudely continued on about trash bags being outside the door and “didn’t I hear her knocking on the door” and that she would charge me if my bags didn’t get moved. My husband is sick from the black mold in the room and I have 3 infants in the room, one at school. So it was the last thing on my mind. Later that day she knocked on the door again, my husband answered explained to her he was sick but would be taking care of it. He bought the bags downstairs to the bed of our truck and while we were leaving out to get his medicine. With the bags in the bed of our truck the lady came in front of a whole group of people and told us that we would not be able to renew our stay. Very upset I went off. My children were there , my husband just muscled up the strength to get up and was taking the trash out. My husband went to knock on the door to get her name. The maintenance man shoved the door closed to say to deal with it tomorrow. She called the police and said that we threatened to shoot her and even called management because my husband told her he would be speaking with the lady who is normally in the front office about renewing his stay. All this happened because of two trash bags. When literally she could’ve just took them and fined me like she initially said. This lady knew nothing about us nor our situation and changed everything for us within a...
