I love seafood and have tried at many different seafood restaurants. I, however, rarely post review because when I do, I only give good reviews and give 4 to 5 stars to places that deserve it. If there are restaurant I don't like, I don't review because I don't want to give less than 3 stars. Simply put, I don't want to destroy their businesses just because I don't like their food. Taste is very subjective. That's enough about me. Now, let's talk about the Kickin' Crab restaurant. I drive by it everyday when I go to work but didn't have a chance to try it out until few days ago when I stopped by with my friends for dinner. It is in the plaza that it is to access to. The parking lots are ample and clean. The restaurant overall was clean, cozy, and well decorated. It has hand washing station that we can wash hands without going to restroom. This tells me that the owners thought through it and care about customers. I like a real-life size pirate statute that greets us at the entrance and a real-life size shark statute that hangs in the ceiling giving us impression that we are somewhere in the ocean. Restaurant has multiple very big screen TVs (I was told they are 75 inches 4K TVs) that play sport channels or whatever channels guests request. The music was great and sound was about right, not too loud; it helps us to carry out conversations easily. Their serving staff is excellent; We were served by Kristen, Tyler, and Martey who were very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered Combo # 3 (1 lb Snow Crab, 2 lbs shrimp, and 1 lb green muscle, sausages, potato, and corn) with kickin' sauce, King crab, crawfish, garlic noodles, fried calamari, and chicken wings. Foods were served in less than 15 minutes. Oh boys, foods were delicious! Everything was on point and about right. Did I say delicious? They were so good that I ordered some more to bring home for my wife and kids. When I got home and unpacked it, to my surprise, they include everything you need to enjoy delicious and flavorful foods: table cover, bibs, gloves, condiments, and of course our ordered foods. Their attention to details tells me that the owners really care about pleasing their customers. Their prices are extremely reasonable. They are 10 to 20% lower than other places that I have been to. Despite lower prices, they somehow still manage to serve very high-quality food. King crab leg was colossal size, snow crab leg was bigger than other places; their shrimp was huge. Serving staff told us that they use fresh organic garlic, organic milk, real/expensive butter to cook with seafoods. They use O transfat oil on their fried food. I love it. Overall, we had great experiences at Kickin' crab restaurant and can't wait to come back. Check them out and you...
Read moreWife and I were driving by this place and so glad we decided to pull in and try it out! Host who brought us to our table served us as well but she was very friendly we feel bad for not remembering her name.
Items we ordered: Kickin Combo #1 (Shrimp - EZ Peel $2 more/lb, Crawfish, & Mussels - Kickin' Style Seasoning - Spice Level: Spicy) Garlic Noodles
Loved the seafood! We could only imagine how the crawfish would be if it was live and in-season! Shrimp was cooked to perfection; they were meaty & juicy and not over-cooked/rubbery. The sauce was everything you wanted a seafood boil to be covered in without taking too much away from the seafood! The garlic noodles were nothing less than amazing we loved the rich garlic buttery flavor and the chewiness of the noodles. Pro Tip - dip the noodles in your seafood boil sauce or scoop some of the sauce onto your noodles, absolutely MIND BLOWING! (Probably super unhealthy but who comes to a seafood boil to eat healthy options?)
Our check came out and the server made a small mistake and paid out a different table's check instead of our check. Not a big issue, it happens! A kind gentleman named Tyler assisted the situation and closed out the correct check and even gave us a complimentary cheesecake for the mix-up! We were stuffed so we asked for the cheesecake to be taken to-go. Once we got home we tried the cheesecake and it was so delicious. It made us wonder if they made the cheesecake in-house? We absolutely loved everything and we will definitely...
Read moreMy friend and I visited this restaurant because the reviews were good. They have good customer service but I can't say the same for the food. I spent $30 for boiled seafood that had absolutely no season on it, in it or near it. The bag they brought me had one crab leg cluster, a few shrimp, one potato, one small corn cob and a couple of slices of sausage. The sausage was the best thing in the bag. SERIOUSLY. When I first tasted the food it had an odd taste. It just didn't taste like a typical seafood boil. As I ate, the food started to taste like tomato sauce. The more I ate, the more I realized they had actually used tomato sauce or tomato paste in the seafood. I asked for a cup of season and the employee said they didn't have any. I stopped him again and asked if they had any old bay. He told me they don't have any dry seasoning. That was odd for a seafood restaurant. I finally tied my bag up to take home. I went to the counter to ask for a carryout bag and the ticket. I glanced in the kitchen and noticed two very large cans of ketchup. That had to be what they boil the seafood in. I'm going to try and doctor this food up with some crab boil and old bay. They have really nice employees but I won't...
