If you're looking to spend the night in Joliet, I recommend you to keep driving to find a better area. This is a genuine 2-star hotel. I would not recommend it for families with kids.

My room was genuinely comfortable, it was large and spacious. The bed and pillows were 10/10. The shower was in rough shape - the shower knob was busted and required some mental math to figure out how to work it. There were obvious signs of wear and tear in the room, but these don't bother me much.

The clientele at this hotel is the real issue. It attracts a rough crowd of truckers, vagrants, and questionables. I smelled cigarette smoke in the hallway and saw guests with obvious signs of drug use (aka, needle marks on arms and legs). I didn't feel 100% safe here. One of the first things I did in the morning was look out the window to check if my car had all its windows intact. The comments about housing homeless people might be true.

Breakfast was disappointing, and consisted of just bagels, bread, and cereals. Front staff was watching TikTok videos on maximum volume...

Well where do I even start. Before I check in anywhere, I always ask may I view the room first. So glad I did at this place, the room that was to be rented to me had used towels spread all over the floor when I entered it, the funkiest, musty, mildew'y smell in the room. Of course, I immediately said NO and left. I left the room search to my friend who circled back to this place while I was fast asleep - she was not aware of the interaction that taken place earlier. My card was swiped and the room was secure - a good night rest for the night or so I thought. The same attendant rented another room that smell just as bad as the first I couldn't stomache it so my Sisterfriend and I decided to leave. I requested a refund to my card, they charge me $140 dollars on my card but is planning to only REFUND $120 Dollars??!! So you better believe I'm watching my account, I will happily give this business/company a piece of my mind if ALL my FUNDS are NOT REFUNDED! The review, NEVER GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A STRONG SENSE OF SMELL and ALWAYS ASK TO SEE THE...

We arrived to a room that had urine stains all over the toilet, what looked like blood on the arm of the chair and curtains (the curtains were ripped and didn't close all of the way), the plug out of the bathtub with loads of visible hair in the drain, over all could have used a better clean found a lot of little things that were dirty as well. Most importantly though there was black mold in the refrigerator. My husband went to the front desk to inform them and they could not find anyone to come and clean it so the worker gave my husband some cleaning spray and a wash cloth. After paying almost $200 for a single night we did not expect to have to clean the room before we could relax after a 4 hour drive. The worker offered nothing as far as help or condolences. A complete waste of time and money. If we could have found another place on such short notice we would have left. I even considered...

I no longer stay at Super 8 or Motel 6. Over the past 5 years the quality has dropped. Now I stay at Baymont. Most are good, a few are not. This one is a NOT! The front desk person's cologne was so pungent and overwhelming it took over the breakfast room, lobby and hallway...for three days! The snacks in the vending machine expired in May and June, over 6 months ago. The breakfast Danish was moldy (see picture). The trash alongside the hotel near the tree line was atrocious. It hadn't been picked up in months. For $120 a night I expected more. I use to work for Wyndham. This falls far short of their standards. I blame the management for lack of training and oversight. Avoid!

I was honestly disappointed in this hotel. Since it was the only good rating hotel in the area. Upon arriving I noticed the bed sheets were stained as if someone spilled coffee or something. I hope it was coffee… The next day I wanted to shower and noticed some goo on the bathtub. So I decided not to shower. Also the room even though it says smoke free it had a really bad smoke smell to it. When we checked out nothing was ready for breakfast except cereal. There were crumbs on the floor where there were tons of ants. Not to mention the chairs in the waiting area were all stained and dirty. I feel the place could’ve done better. Very disappointed.
