I visited about a month ago.

We checked in and checked out about an hour after. The rooms were disgusting, I have pictures but can't seem to load them.

To begin, the entrance is not welcoming, since it's a bad part of town, it seems like you are checking in to visit an inmate at a local prison.

I will say the front desk guy tried to help us with our stay, unfortunately nothing could keep us there.

The first room was nasty, the bathroom had red stains on the sink, and feces on the toilet seat and around the base of the toilet as well. It was as if someone went out of their way to place feces around the bottom of the toilet. There were etchings on the toilet seat that had dried feces in them.

The room it seems smelled terrible and the sheets were stained.

We asked foe the house keeper to come in and clean the bathroom, a guy in shorts and sandles came to our room, we pointed out the issues and he "cleaned" and left without confirming with us. When we went to look, only the red stain was removed, the rest was still there, all he did was spray over the feces, he didn't clean it.

So we were going to just leave, but we're offered another room. We accepted and were given the room a few doors down. This room was a slight upgrade, but the sheets were still stained, there were toenail clippings all over the bathroom room as well as hair. It didn't seem like they had vacuumed the carpet, crumbs were all over the floor. We ended up just checking out, the front desk guy was upset that we had undone the bed, but we had to check the sheets.

We lost one day, as we had already checked in and couldn't get a refund, but the second day was refunded.

I dont know how this place has such great reviews. The house keeper definitely needs to...

This place was a nightmare. Let me paint a picture. We check in around 8:00 just before going to a movie with some friends, and entered the room just use the restroom and head back out. Being in such a rush, we missed the filth that was going to greet us upon our return. The room looked nice and clean at first glance. After seeing the movie, we returned to the room around 11, exhausted after a long day and ready to crash. When we went to get into bed, we noticed a large yellow stain on the sheets, which was pretty gross, but we figured maybe an attempt was made to wash the sheets and it wouldn’t come out. Still not a good look, but ok. When we continued moving the bed linens, we found what looked like fresh dirt stains (possibly makeup?) on one of the pillows. We went to the front desk to explain, we were told that all the rooms were booked, so there was no room they could move us to and apparently no clean linens available. Considering that we live 2 hours away, and we had already spent the money on the room, we were going to just figure out how to get through the night. After returning to the room, we found some weird crumbs in the bed, hair on the bathroom sink and floor, and POOP SPLATTERS in the toilet! We spoke to the desk attendant again, and let him know that we wouldn’t be staying and were told the manager would contact us first thing in the morning. We drove 2 HOURS back to our home in the middle of the night, and of course didn’t receive a call in the morning. So, after calling the manager, we were denied a refund or any other compensation, saying that he “doesn’t run that kind of sh*tty business.” Yeah right! DO NOT...

Our experience at this hotel was wonderful! The surrounding area feels safe and isn’t in the hustle and bustle of Chicago, but you also have plenty of food options and a Walmart nearby. We went to the Navy Pier each day of our stay, and it was only a 45 min drive. The staff were BEYOND nice. I think it was family owned because the same woman at the desk also cleaned the rooms everyday. Rooms were very clean. Only “complaints” we could possibly think would be the rooms are a little small (stayed in a double queen room), and there’s not a ton of walking space. The A/C control surface was dirty and could have been wiped down better. And there’s a motel 6 beside the Super 8 that could sometimes get a little noisy, but never in the middle of the night that bothered us (we always bring a sound machine to hotels for that purpose!). Overall, if you plan a stay here, I think you will really enjoy the comfortable, clean, and...

STAY AWAY!! woke up to the housekeeper watching us sleep and yes we were naked being watched by a stranger. the owner did nothing when he witnessed it happen and probably was looking at us sleep too before we woke up. when we woke up and asked her to leave she continued to stay in the room for at least 3-5 minutes while repeatedly being asked to leave. then had an attitude when the problem was addressed. if that’s not bad enough the windows to our first floor room had no screen and didnt lock. anyone could slide the window open from the outside! oh and there were ants in the room. owner was rude. TERRIBLE. Stay safe and go to the red roof inn or belmont. The experience was the worst in my life.

arrived a little early and was told we couldn’t check in early for our 3 night stay because they wanted to make sure the room was cleaned. then was told the wifi password couldn’t be given out early either. owner was rude about the whole thing. finally got in and there were bugs in the room, the window didnt lock so anyone could have come through the window in a rougher part of town, woke up to a housekeeper watching us sleep and wouldnt leave the room when asked, no do not disturb signs in the room, was told i couldn’t use the hot water except during breakfast hours for the tea i brought with me. it wasn’t safe, friendly or clean
