I am a travel nurse who works Night Shift at the hospital down the street. On one occasion I had a very nice woman help me with accommodations for early check-in which was at 8 am because I work 7 pm to 7:30 am and need to sleep after my shift in preparation for the next shift. Another time I had a man, who very kindly asked his supervisor about my accommodations and they told me to call at 8 am the day of to see if they had a clean room. I was happy with that answer. Tonight, I called to ask for accommodations for the morning. The gentleman who answered the phone told me that he has worked at this hotel for 8 years and that they never make accommodations for a time so early. He told me that the earliest time I can check in is 11 am which is way too late. The only reason I am giving two stars is because none of the employees give the same answer when asking for early check-in accommodations. The least the man tonight could do was ask his supervisor for approval but instead he denied me and my business. I did let the gentleman know that I just stayed at the hotel just a few weeks ago and that they allowed me to check-in at 8 am. He did not believe me. June 16th the two front desk were somewhat helpful but still gave a hard time. Maybe bcuz of my age/young black male. I was told no 3rd party bookings are excepted until a deposit is submitted. I had to leave to get cash for a cash deposit went to gas station to withdraw cash to get back to be asked for id, I give and place money on counter. Now it’s we don’t have cash on premises I”ll need a card for transaction then I leave sits outside in car to call family to send money back to my account just to get go back in and all of sudden I’m on do not rent list. Forgot to mention I’m disabled. How is it possible when I never been to quality inn or other hotel in building in Joliet. Fast foward to now 06/27 I still don’t have my deposit or transaction history on bank card my bank reps don’t see. Read moreMe and my partner traveled to Illinois for an event. The hotel is not very secluded as what the photos make it seem. This hotel is next to 2 motels and a gas station which makes the area feel unsafe. Before booking, I’ve read reviews about the customer service being a hit or miss. Thankfully, the front desk was really nice and did not experience any bad customer service.
We were in room #449: Not even 1 hour of our arrival, we kept hearing a random man scream every 20-30 minutes. We notified the customer service which they said they would scope out the area. I’m assuming they couldn’t locate this “man” and he continued to scream the whole day/night. We also noticed a crack on the window which turned out to be a bullet hole. The other thing I would only complain about is the TV. There was only 2 channels that could fully work (football and some sort of detective American show).
