Haven’t been in years first experience was in Jacksonville in 91 and instantly hooked wife n I on 3 Mile Island flavor, still fantastic and delicious still ! Was greeted politely and loudly and said thanks for the warm welcome which was ignored purposely by waitress as I sat down, not a good sign. I asked to switch a tv to the Thursday night NFL game, waitress said that TV never changes( it was one of few where seats faced the tv) but tried and had no luck I asked if I could move one section over facing a TV that had the game on, waitress asked if I could sit in main area instead. I said probably but then found all the seats were situated not facing the TV’s from either side you’d have to look sideways to watch the game so I asked again a bit more adamantly and was allowed to sit where I chose explaining my old neck would like it! Thanks for that, so I could tell she wasn’t happy with me but wow I was polite and goal was to have some wings watch the 1st half and go. Meal was brought to me and slid towards me, and as she was retreating she asked if I needed anything else, I said yes “ can I get a plate, utensils and some napkins?” Aren’t those normally served with a meal? Especially napkins with wings? This stopped her retreat and was brought to me, and as I had almost finished my meal then recieved our most pleasant exchange to see if I needed anything else. She was actually polite as it became close to tip time! I always tip 20% unless something special was included or service was that bad. I still tipped %20 wish I hadn’t! Spoke w a cook on his break nice guy told him food was still fantastic after all these years, also another employee approached me as I watched the game (left before 1st quarter ended not feeling very wanted) he said I looked unhappy and we talked even said a prayer together about life’s woes the young server could never understand I’m just a money device for that one. Well that other dude was so nice hope you keep him working sounded like he needed it. Hope your place stays afloat, besides the rude waitress your food is still 🔥 But can’t recommend anyone have to put up w that behavior from a child 35 yrs younger than me! Photo is my...
Read moreWe are visiting from out of state, this is our first family vacation. After reading others reviews, wow. They are right- don't waste your time! 2 stars for the food-it was pretty good!
Upon arriving we were told that the kitchen was short staffed and there'd be a 20 minute wait to be seated. They took our name and number, and in the meantime other people drove up, came in, and were immediately seated. Turns out, our info got accidentally erased, within 15 minutes. Okay, it happens. After being seated, and in between each need for our waitress to come to the table, there were ridiculously long periods of time. Mind you, it was past 8 o'clock, there were MANY waitresses on duty, and the place wasn't all that busy.
She wasn't very knowledgeable about menu items, so maybe she's new? She never took the appetizer plate to make more room for our party of 6, I had to ask someone else for a tool to crack open my crab legs, we had to ask someone else for refills, at one point they showed my child who our waitress was, I guess in hopes that we'd ask her instead. We would have if she would have been more available, she was hard to find. She never asked how our food was, and only 2 girls in the place were busting butt, the rest were not doing much but hanging out at tables with guests.
When we explained to the manager how our visit went and why she was getting the meager tip she got, he was pretty quick to brush it all off and added that we will get the same service everywhere. He was kind enough to take a chunk of the bill off, which was great, but we'd have preffered a better experience, or at least a sincere apology. This...
Read moreHORRIBLE! We were on vacation at Great Wolf Lodge. My husband and 2 little girls went here to eat dinner. My girls love the chicken strips! We get seated and order an Adult and Child Coke an Adult Dr. Pepper and a child’s water. As soon as the waitress sat our drinks and straws on the table she took our order. I went first I need 2 Childs Chicken Strips. “We are all out of Chicken Strips sorry” she says. The girls both replied they could eat grilled cheese and I said ok and ordered 2. Then I placed my order I wanted a Big Fish Sandwich! The only thing I’ve ever ate at any Hooters! I don’t think we have fish either let me go check she walks off and 2 seconds later returns to tell us they are also out of fish! At that point I said silent and dumbfounded my husband just looking at me. He asked the waitress to give us a second. She walked away and I told him there’s nothing else I want let’s just go somewhere else so everyone gets what they want. We all got up with our freshly made drinks sitting on the table never touched straws still unopened. My husband told our waitress we decided on something else since they are out of stock and asked if he needed to pay for the drinks. She said yes and he said really we never even touched them. At that point some random customer who really thought he had a shot with that hooters girl said some rude and obscene things to my husband for asked if we really had to pay! Not only did he do all this in front my 2 very young little girls he proceeded to follow my family into the parking lot and to our car like he was actually gonna do...
