We just spent the last nine nights at the Prince Kuhio condominium complex in Poipu in unit 133. We booked directly with the owner representative, which is Poipu Connection Realty. We avoided the higher priced Airbnb type fees by doing so and I believe our total price out the door for nine nights was around $1800 give or take. The building situated right across the street from the beach and even our ground floor unit had ocean views. If you want to spend a little more, there are several other units with better views from the higher floors, but we felt this provided us the best value for our stay and we couldn't be happier. First, let me say that yes the room is a little dated, but that didn't bother us one bit. Again, we didn't want to spend all of our hard earned money on luxury lodging. This unit provided us a kitchen, a king size bed, an air conditioner, a nice lanai with an ocean view and everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The grounds are meticulously maintained with a nice pool area and barbecue area. There is ample parking And the staff was extremely friendly. Right across the street is the famous BeachBeach House restaurant. This is where people go to watch the beautiful Kauai sunsets. For us, we would grab our lawn chairs each evening and simply walk across to the lawn area next to the restaurant with our cocktails and watch the sunsets at our leisure, sipping on our own cocktails.|The location of this condominium is truly wonderful as you can take long morning walks down to spouting horn or walk the other direction to the market place. You are a short 3 to 5 minute drive from everything in Poipu as well as Koloa town, which is a gem in itself. We booked this unit almost a year in advance so you probably need to plan ahead if you want to stay here. As I said, Poipu Connection Realty has other units in this building so take a look at their website. We will very likely be staying in this complex again when we come...

Read moreThe location of these privately owned condos is ideal. The ocean is only a few steps away, and across the street is a small piece of beach - perfect to watch the sun set. The garden is gorgeous and each condo has the comforts of home. Our condo, and I believe most if not all, are not air conditioned but not too worry, the ocean is only a few yards away & trade winds keep the rooms breezy and relaxing. Definitely a wonderful place to stay!
Allergen Alert: 0 to 4 As most of us know, we cannot control what others choose to do, and with the world’s present fascination with fragranced products, people’s choices can be hard to escape. One minute, the tradewinds are blowing beautiful, fresh air in your window but the next minute somebody is using fragranced detergent or dryer sheets and instead the wind is blowing toxic fragrance into your room. Advice. This place is great and we would definitely stay here again, but be ready to shut your windows at a moments notice and if you’re issues are severe, keep your...
