The delicious food here is all from scratch, and specials feature what ever is fresh and local. Vegan and vegetarian items are always on the menu. The NY features world cuisine as well as classics such as fish and chips, chowder, and burgers, as well as specials that change weekly. Excellent coffee drinks, nice selection of wine and beers on tap including some Alaska brews. This is one of my go-to places for brunch and dinner. Love the live music on Fridays. Favorites are pork belly sandwich, lamb burger with fig, roasted veggie salad, salmon cakes, kebabs plate, hummus plate.

Went to the cafe. Friendly and good vibe place. Good food, friendly staff and generally everyone looked happy and relaxed. Service was prompt. Not many options for seating but we found a table quite fast. Central location on a Main Street with street parking available. Walking distance from the harbour where the cruises dock. The evening we visited there were 3 people playing live music on guitar and violin and one of them was an elderly gentleman who was playing the guitar with a joyful expression and twinkle in his eyes. God bless him

The New York Cafe and The New York Hotel have not been the same business for at least 15 years. However, since most people seem to rate the The New York Cafe here, I am adding my review to this site also: The New York Cafe has the best food in town! Great service, friendly atmosphere, locally sourced foods cooked to order. Creative, fresh and tasty cuisine with a variety of delicious vegan and vegetarian options as well as fantastic seafood. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Highly recommended.

First time sharing a hotel review, but had to shout out this hotel…I’ve stayed there maybe 5 or 6 times, in various kinds of rooms. The Creek Street ones are quirky and super fun and I love those rooms the most. But this time (June 2023) I got one of the plain tiny rooms above the cafe. I was a little bummed, especially after I saw the complementary earplugs on the nightstand. But let me tell you, bed and pillows were super comfy, I didn’t need earplugs, I did use the box fan in the closet, and I slept 10 hours my first night. Thought it was just being tired, but got 8 hours per night the next two nights. So simple but so comfortable. Low expectations sometimes make for amazing experiences, but also…not only did they replenish the coffee creamers in the room, but also the York Peppermint Patty mints. And of course, the cafe is freaking delicious. Ate my way through almost half the menu. I hear the chef is from Lebanon and he is certainly skilled and creative. Love this place. I’ll be...

It's been six or seven years but, my wife and I spent a week here around the beginning of April. Our room was beautiful, right over the street and looked out on the small boat harbor. One thing that we loved was that the rooms of this little hotel were all second floor above a great little cafe that I can't remember the name of.

Downtown was easy walking distance and the old red light district was literally fifty feet away. We didn't feel too touristy staying here and were made to feel very welcome. Also, the bus service in Ketchikan is excellent and cheap. If you're here for more than a couple of days the bus pass is a...

Came in here with a family member while on a cruise to Alaska last week to get a quick bite and I had the vegetarian burger. I found it to be pretty dry and bland in taste as it did not have flavour to it. I would have given this place a 4 star for the burger size (as it's pretty darn big) if the patty wasn't breaking so easily and if it wasn't so plain in taste and expensive (at $14). Also, the fries were pretty hard and undesirable to eat in my opinion and I simply left them after trying a few. Would not recommend here if you're looking for a vege burger but otherwise, you could dry their beer and...
