My group is a professional flight crew. We travel a signifcant amount. In addition, I myself grew up in Ketchikan living such experiences as a normal way ofnlife. That being said, the experience that follows is unique in our collective experience

Due to uncertanties in our initial schedule, we had been unable to schedule a charter until the evening we arrived in Ketchikan. Captain William Baghoomian answered the phone at 830pm and we booked for the following morning. The initial booking was for a half day of King salmon and halibut fishing.

Despite a start where the salmon just wouldnt bite, he hung in with us. Because of his persistence we managed to catch not 1, but one for each of us to a total of 4. Capt. William and his son Vrej really came through for us and gave us a truly awesome experience. And there was so much more yet to come.

We had planned to keep some with us to have for lunch, but the restaurant known to Capt. William was not open. He went out of his way, inviting us to his home for the afternoon, so that we had the experience of eating our catch fresh from the ocean. This is a truly Alaskan experience to catch a wild King and be able to eat your catch for lunch. The hospitality displayed by Capt. William was truly a unique experience that we couldnt have imagined. And there was yet more.

At Capt. Williams insistence he and his son came and picked us up the next morning and took us out for the halibut we never got to on the first day as well as setting pots for crab. And again we succeeded in catching 4, this time plus pots of crab. And for a second day we were able to eat our catch on his piece beach fresh from the ocean.

Our initial half day charter turned into two full mornings on his boats, he has more than one, remarkable conversation, unbelievable hospitality, and a truly unique Alaskan esperience that I remember from my time here as a child. I could not have asked for such a day, much less two of them.

Capt. William and Vrej, as well as the dogs Cho and Bo, will always have a special place in my heart for the experience granted to myself and my crew. When I return, and also when I send friends here, I will recommend they book entirely and exclusively with...

Captain William and his son Reggie showed my family a great time when we booked Alaska King Charter for a halibut fishing trip during our short stop in Ketchikan when traveling aboard the Princess Sapphire in June 2023. We met right off the boat and had only a short walk to the dock. Captain William confirmed what we wanted to fish for (halibut) and had previously shared all the information we needed (purchase your licenses ahead of time and bring print outs!) to make this a successful outing. He knew exactly where to bring us to ensure everyone caught their halibut. We also pulled in a few other types of fish and humanely released them. Captain William's dog Cho was a great companion (we requested he join us after seeing pictures of him from other reviews!) for those of us who get a little apprehensive on boats. We had a family group of three generations upwards of 75 years, and all were able to safely board and participate in the day on the water. We all had action, a fun time together. Definitely recommend a charter with them should you be traveling to the area! Thank you so much Captain William; should we be in Alaska again, we hope to be on...

"From the moment we arrived in Ketchikan, I knew we were in for a special Salmon fishing experience since it was my second time with Kings Charter and the first time was exceptional! William’s and his captains whom we had the opportunity to meet last time and this time was his son, Vrej. He took charge of our tour and impressed us with his knowledge of the local waters and enthusiasm for fishing. He worked tirelessly to ensure we had a great day, sharing tips and techniques along the way. Even though I had broken leg and wasn’t able to walk he managed to take care of everything so that I can enjoy the fishing. Thanks to his guidance, we managed to catch some stunning salmon, and it was thrilling to reel them in under his expert watch. His approachable demeanor made us feel comfortable, and his patience with us novices was greatly appreciated. We also had the pleasure of doing crabbing and they cooked them with a great hospitality in their house. I highly recommend Kings Charter for anyone looking to fish in Ketchikan. Vrej has a bright future ahead in this business, and we felt lucky to have him as our guide. Thanks for...
