I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, because my family and I had several very unpleasant experiences, one of them were bugs that we found in both rooms, hundreds of them scattered around the rooms, we called the only one who was on duty at night, and at Seeing this problem, he told us that he could not do anything and he did not apologize either, I suggested that he at least vacuum the rooms and he told me that this was not his job. The other point is to be very careful with the prices they offer, because they are going to surprise you, they will charge you a HIDDEN charge, which they call HOTEL AMENITY FEE, and when I asked them for a detail of this charge they only told you they give a piece of paper where it says the same thing; but they don't explain why. Another thing we say is that they provide you with parking; but that is not true and you have to pay extra $35 per night in a dark and unsecured parking space. Be careful with the breakfast items, as we found that most of the yogurt they offered was out of expiration date. For this and other things I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Pedro Morales

Do not stay here. Stayed at a “suite” for 2 nights, at $800 per night. The furniture and appliances are OLD and CHEAP. The mattress was also old, almost lumpy. Cleanliness was less than ideal at check in. The service is NON EXISTENT. We found our room undone when returning after being out all day. I was told that housekeeping service is not provided daily!!!! ($800 a night). They have 1 employee in total on duty, who does not even fake trying to be helpful, let alone friendly. See photos

We only stayed one night but we're very comfortable. I thought the Cabana Inn was reasonably priced for KW and very centrally located. Old world charm on the outside and all the modern comforts on the inside. Great complimentary breakfast and even a wine and cheese nightly. I will definitely go back there. Be advised, there are no elevators and the hotel has a resident rooster. (For us, he just added to the charm.)

The location was great and the pool was nice, but the room was not even remotely worth the price. Also to make it clear the wine and cheese is just cheese sticks, Doritos and cheap wine. I stayed here for 2 nights with my girlfriend celebrating. The room was a huge letdown. It looked beautiful in the photos, but was smaller in person. The floors were incredibly water damaged, and the bathroom was small and hot. The first and largest problem was the AC. When we walked in we were hoping for some type of cool down from the Florida heat. Sadly the room was north of 85 degrees and had an undersized overworked and damaged AC wall unit to cool it down. It took over 8 hours for the room to drop below 80 degrees and that was only after we stuffed the gaps in our front door up with towels. The front desk was no help. To make things worse the man named James was rude and paranoid. He multiple times called me a liar and one time while he stopped talking to me to pick up a phone(I didn’t mind) yelled at me to stop pointing my phone at him. I wish I had been recording him, he was the worst. This man took everything I had to say as a challenge and would always tell me how “no other person had ever complained before”. Even when I tried telling him the floor was heavily bowing because the fridge leaks water at random intervals into a divit on the floor. The man had the audacity to both tell me he was freezing in the 80+ degree room and then immediately after accusing my girlfriend of using drugs. Then he walked over to our AC unit and raised the temperature that he guaranteed couldn’t go below both 62 and 68 degrees while we were complaining about how hot we were. I was also very annoyed because during about 8 hours of the day there were people in the way all over the pool area(probably the only thing I liked about the hotel) painted over the old wood so it looked better, and that there was no notice given. In the past every hotel I’ve stayed at that had any ongoing or extended projects has given me notice in advance. Also we got locked out of our room the second day and had to spend almost half an hour getting the same front desk man to make up keys that kept failing. With how he had acted the day prior I truly believe he was making the wrong keys on purpose. I am so disappointed that such an amazing location is owned by this company. It was in such...

I really want to be fair that you get what you pay for, and we were spoiled that our first trip to Key West was a high bar with a stay at Almond Tree. But we wanted to save money on our lodging and found this instead.

I believe this was a good value and would maybe go back for the price and location. But I considered this for 3.5 days during our short stay—there are things within their control and things that are not. It is unfair to critique the things that they could not change, given the price point and location.

With a few tiny tweaks, this could go from a three star to a five star review.

The bathroom curtain is growing mold, and there are broken tiles. I did not take pictures because I didn’t have time, but for some people, they would be grossed out. I wanted to wear flip flops in the shower, it didn’t feel super clean. Our sheets had a stain, I didn’t want to think too hard about that either. I didn’t ask to change the sheet, I knew intellectually it was clean. But if it can’t be bleached out, throw it away. There are no curtains on the windows, I would expect a black out shade because light came in our room window at night and the sun early in the morning. There are no decent shelves in the bathroom, although there is this little ledge that worked ok. There just wasn’t much room for getting ready. I think they could easily address these items and one would be hard pressed to complain about the room at all.

It was super cute, I loved the pool and location. I thought the size of our room was fine. I was so thankful for the Nespresso pods in the morning, as we didn’t eat the continental breakfast, but I enjoyed the coffee in my room very much. We never did the happy hour, but free wine is a nice touch.

I was not overly impressed with the manners of the staff but they weren’t necessarily rude either. Just brisk, and maybe busy, because there were times we had a hard time finding people. Again, it’s the little things, and our service at Almond Tree was remarkable. Feeling welcomed is an energy without a price tag.

Overall, I think it’s worth it if you understand that this is a trade-off in many ways but it’s not a bad one. For a short stay, it served...

Cabana Review 6 night stay in room 611 ..Check in process was easy, our room wasn’t ready which we did arrive before 4pm. We were able to leave luggage in office, while we explored Duval Street and Baha called as promised when our room was ready. The room and bathroom were large although it appeared to be a handicap room with the extra railing and wall attached wooden stool in the shower, which with the room being on ground floor at least we didn’t have to drag the luggage upstairs, since there is definitely no elevators. Initially the room temperature was about 76 degrees with the small A/C unit attached to the wall and the ceiling fan wasn’t working. Reported to office and almost immediately the maintenance guy(Ivan) was there to fix the fan, he was very personable and pleasant, although most staff there were not rude they were just not very interactive or engaging with little eye contact and very “task oriented “, The room was adequately clean. Anyway room did finally cool after we turned A/C down to lowest setting and re-arranged the small refrigerator and microwave that seemed to have been blocking the vents from blowing towards the bed. Also the french glass entry door blinds had one small area that was broken off and there was a gap between the window sills and door blinds so we had to use a sheet to cover the gap to prevent anyone from being able to see into the room . Also there is a fairly large frosted window over the door so as soon as the sun comes up it gets pretty bright in the room which wouldn’t be a problem if you are a early riser, A little noisy from the guest upstairs but not unbearable and the mattress was fairly comfortable although the faux hardwood floor was warped near the end of the bed, causing several near missed falls. The gates surrounding property were locked at night with keycard access so we always felt pretty secure. The wine/cheese hour and the breakfast were just okay but good to have. The courtyard area was nice, pool was small jacuzzi was pretty standard . Water pressure a little low but doable. Housekeeping was okay. the pool was small the garden area was nice and the...
