Great place to stay when biking the trails around Lanesboro. The hotel is about a block from the trail. This place has a locked store room where you can put your bike when you aren't riding. There are great restaurants within walking distance, a comfortable porch, and a large party room. The room didn't have a TV which wasn't a problem for me but if you need that kind of noise it would be an issue. Read moreI believe I have stayed in this lovely inn for the past 20 years at least twice a year . I absolutely love staying here, unfortunately it’s become quite popular and harder to get a reservation there. It is so clean, the staff has always been friendly and accommodating. I can park my car and then walk everywhere I need to get to , the shops, the commonweal theater just across the street as well as the Lanesboro community theater , the park, the trails, the restaurants. it is just a magical town and this is my go to place for time alone, though at times have been there with family or friends, | I’m hoping to be able to get there sometime this fall before...
Read moreThis is a wonderful inn in a beautiful setting and in the quaint town of Lanesboro along the Root river. We stayed one night while we biked the fabulous Root River state bicycle trail. The Inn rooms were large and clean, quiet and comfortable. We liked the simplicity of rooms without TV, phones, and refrigerators. Just simply nice and affordable. The staff and owners are helpful, friendly and quite accommodating. We especially appreciate adjacent building where we could safely store our bicycles. The front porch chairs and rockers are marvelous. The location in Lanesboro is ideal. We look forward to...
