TownePlace Suites by Marriott Leavenworth — Hotel in Leavenworth

This is our first night here, we arrived late. The front desk person was really awesome, offered us great customer service, and was really helpful! I was so surprised to walk into our room to see how beautiful it is! I absolutely love the decor and the design of our room is functional and beautiful. Beautiful colors, lots of space, lots of storage place, full kitchen, with gorgeous counter tops! It has a stove, oven, large fridge, dishwasher, and a big microwave, and the kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and cooking ware. We're in a one bedroom studio, the bedroom is completely separate from the living room. It has 2 huge tvs. A nice office area and a large beautiful restroom with the same beautiful counter tops. I'm actually in love with this room. Lol.. We travel a lot and we have stayed at a lot of hotels but I have to say, when it comes to the color scheme and the design of this room this is the best I've seen. To top it off, this room is just so cozy and comfortable! I'm glad we decided to stay here. The whole hotel is beautiful inside and outside! I can't wait to go explore it tomorrow. I'm excited to try the breakfast and can't wait to check out the pool and fitness room! I haven't had a chance to explore the area, so I'm not sure yet if what there is to do around here. I'll post more later after our stay. ADD ON: Beakfast is fresh and delicious! 2 big and clean laundry rooms 1st floor and 3rd floor. The fitness room is one of the bigger ones i have seen and clean. The location is okay. there are lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Not the greatest windows views, but that's okay! The indoor pool is nice, but it's cold, we were hoping for a heated pool since it's winter. I think it's awesome that we can borrow kitchen appliances and games! Id give 0 stars. Had to wait at a locked door and and dial 0 at the window at front door. Waited 20 min for the couple running it to arrive. Got let inside lobby. Then got checked in. Went in the door by the stairs to go to room. The stairs going down and hall is visible from the landing. A. C. Units lined both sides of hall all the way. Went up to 3rd floor. And people were acting more like it was a dorm hanging out in hall. Went in room and could hear everything in the rooms around us. The comforter was gross and had burns all over. The office chair was randomly sitting by the bed as if we interrupted someone sitting in it and the just got up and ran out. There was no lamps. The table had food stuck to it. The TV was only in black and white. The room phone was MIA . The fridge didn't work and after 3 hours of trying it was replaced with another broken fridge. The bathroom was gross and broke down. The bathroom door looked as if someone has tried to escape it with claw marks all over and cracks across it like it was forced open. The t. P. Was sitting on the floor bc the holder was broke. On the dirty floor! The tub appeared to have attempted to be cleaned. But when you turn it on it screams at you, you have to hold the button in order to be drained., the handle to turn shower on was broke and only shut the faucet off a little and only started shower head a little. The toilet was hard to flush and was purple from chemicals on it. They lied about breakfast on website! No food no vending no coffee No nothing. No exhaust fan and the a.c. didn't work. AWFUL PLACE! The overall experience was poor to bad. This particular property is in need of some serious upkeep and it’s relatively new. The first room I was given wasn’t ready yet, the housekeeper was still working in the room. The second room I was given was relatively clean but you could tell it was marg. At 930 PM I turned down the bed covers in preparation for sleep and I find myself looking down at a stain of sorts by the pillow area and several strands of hair through out the bed that weren’t mine! I called the front desk and they young woman promptly brought me a new set of sheets. I proceeded to strip and make the bed; not a problem but not what I want to be doing at 1000 PM. The advertised hot breakfast on the website needs to reflect the current circumstances and tell people it’s a sack breakfast with pre-made options; few of them besides the 1-2 fruit choices just didn’t strike me as healthy. It was a hard pass. There was never any recognition of frequent stayer status as part of Your Marriott Bonvoy program. Is it optional, property by property? This is the second time one of the Marriott properties has been a great disappointment. This property shared a parking lot and space with a different Marriott hotel which wasn’t much better two years ago. I’ll be looking elsewhere for my next several trips back to Leavenworth.
