First City Photo & Frames — Local services in Leavenworth

(This is about Frames, I have no experience with their Photography yet). All the other Framing shops in Leavenworth are BOOKED until the end of August. Please refer to them for better customer service. There's a reason they're booked, and this place is not. Also, from just glancing into the shop, the frames on their walls are about the quality of a Thrift Store. Very dusty, fragile, thin, and poor quality. If you're looking for high quality services and products, my opinion of this place right now is low.

Story time:

Hoping to change my review...! I hope the owner will take the constructive criticism and improve their customer service with it.

I tried to schedule an appointment via phone, with no response. I then tried via e-mail and got a response for an appointment on Saturday.

I show up, and only then realized how AWFUL the customer service was. I knocked, waited outside the shop, called the phone number and left messages, and then checked my email. Her email said that I should have responded sooner...? But SHE was the one that asked if 11:30 would work, and I came on her terms, not mine... EMAILS ARE NOT FOR URGENT MATTERS. I had given my number to her via email and voicemail over and over and never once did she CALL me. The proper way to communicate, especially when it's urgent, is by phone, NOT by email.

Her voicemail on Wednesday said her office hours are Tues from 10-4 and Thursday 10-4, and Saturday by appointment only.

But on Saturday her voicemail said, "I will be gone Monday - Friday, but I will be in Saturday 10am - 1am." SHE WAS NOT IN AT THE TIME SHE SAID SHE WOULD BE IN. I was there 11:30am - at the appointment she chose via email, and she...

In all seriousness, Debra and her team of skilled photographers and photo editors work magic. They helped tame our family of 5 and were able to get the kids to have fun while taking a ton of our family photos.

We did several sessions over the year, summer family photos at the lake, the kids on the old "green International truck" and the best Photo, our three kids on a trike riding down a dirt road. We went on to do holiday photos, Christmas cards and much more.

Debra is an amazing photographer, photo historian, and a keystone member of the Leavenworth community.
