Very clean, well kept, up-to-date hotel with an indoor pool and hot tub, gym, and free breakfast. Our room (2 queen beds with pull out couch) was nice and beds and bedding were comfortable. We also had a surprisingly decent view on the south side 3rd floor. Pool and hot tub were clean and an in good order. We did not use gym so I can't speak to that. Breakfast was very delicious for hotel breakfast. It had scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, oatmeal, waffles, muffins, toast, bagles, cheese, yogurt, 4 kinds of juice. Coffee and 3 kinds of hot tea are available all day. They had any condiment you could think of. Hot food was hot. Breakfast served from 6-10 and dinning area was nice and clean. There are a lot of extras to make your stay better. They have refreshing cucumber infused water in the lobby all day, I loved it. There's a cabinet in the lobby with items from home like a crock pot and board games. There's a marketplace where you can buy snacks, drinks, and Toileteries. I interacted with 3 staff members during and after our stay. The front desk lady at check in was very polite and pleasant, nothing too special bad or good. The gal working kitchen on Sunday morning was AMAZING. So friendly and caring. She helped me open my honey to put in my tea to help my sore throat. She was funny and compassionate. I had to call this morning to ask a question after our stay and the gal on the phone was very nice and helpful. Location was good. Close enough to UNL and downtown/Haymarket and the interstate. If I thought hard and had one gripe, it's very minor though, they do need more towels in the pool area as there were none when we went around 4 p.m. on Saturday. Not a big deal and understandable because it was busy, so it does not impact my rating. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will...

Jennifer was the highlight of the check-in process. Her personality and customer service skills are 100%.
Everything from the check-in process to the closing process the next morning went well. The breakfast is the standard Sleep Inn/Comfort Inn fare, and if you're a regular of Choice Properties, you will not be disappointed here.
For those who haven't been to a Sleep Inn or a Comfort Inn... usually, you'll find a great mattress, good pillows, and bedding. Bathrooms usually have all towels and toiletries fresh and not worn out.
Carpets can be a hit or miss. Preferably no carpets, so that way drinks, bodily fluids, or animal waste isn't lingering and present. Some hoteliers that are shady will do half-baked spot cleaning.
None of these places are without their flaws, but this location has very few. My understanding is that it's possible management may try to get around the rules that Choice Properties has for the Diamond Club/Executive members such as extended check-in out times and other accommodations that are written into perks for such members. Make sure you're not taken advantage of should that come up.
Again, this is a nice hotel, and make sure you use the Choice App for your reservations and not Third Party apps. Hotel management can not help you if you experience an issue with booking fees, dates...etc. Those things can not be solved at the counter. I've seen it dozens of times.

Read moreThe entire hotel was very clean. The linens were very comfortable. Michael was very kind and helpful upon check-in. The cookies were great at the check in desk and the departure bag is such a great idea, esp with the invite to rate on Google. Very smart and the water and snacks were the perfect little take away gift. Breakfast was really good and the entire area was VERY clean and organized as far as the packets of sauces, etc and just how everything was laid out in order. Well done! The only downside was that the A/C was very loud so maybe let guests know when checking in that they can turn that to auto and it won't run all night so loudly. The girl (sorry didn't get her name but she was very sweet) told me that on check out. Not sure it'd help but it wouldn't prevent me from returning. Also it would be nice to have a seat or two or a bench or something outside to sit on while waiting for your car to pull up (for an elderly person) or if someone wants to sit and smoke outside. Maybe just a flat bench bolted to the ground, nothing fancy just a place to sit for a bit of time. Very impressive place. The distance from the UNL campus isn't too bad and the price was great. Would DEF stay here again, especially for the great breakfast included, even though we got there close to 10am when it closes. Loved everything. We were happily...
