I've been trying mattresses since May 2018. My first puchase was online with Purple Mattress. Unfortunately, the mattress didn't work for me. However the experience was top notch. They fully refunded my money quickly, assisted with pickup, and all communication was quick. I highly recommend this online company if you are in the market for a mattress. My next company was Slumberland since I purchased a sofa one year earlier. I asked the salesman about trial offers and returns of mattresses to compare with Purple's return policy. Salesman, Jeff said it was 120 trial, I had to purchase a mattress protector and pay a $99 restock fee. I agreed to purchase. After 60 days, this mattress wasn't for me. I called to make arrangements for the mattress return but was told I could only return with a one time select of a different mattress. Jeff FAILED to mention and failed to review with me before I signed my purchase receipt. He did review the restock fee again. Store manager referred me to corporate only to be to told someone would call me later that day...No person called me back. I had to call the corporate number the next day. After waiting several hours for a call back, Ron director of sales found my story "hard to believe" because I signed the purchase agreement. He said the best he could offer was a store gift card. Realizing we could not come to an agreement he ended call by muting the call. After saying hello ten times and watching the minutes tick away on my cell phone, I did hang up and called back. Ron he told me he thought I ended the call and he was waiting patiently for me to call back. Conversation continued by REFUSING a refund of 600.00 and only offered a gift card. This dissatisfied customer will never return to another Slumberland and will share my experience with friends, family, coworkers and any person looking to purchase home furnishings. This was the worse customer service experience I've had. I could have made a better informed purchase decision if the salesman had mentioned the One Time reselect option. Shame on you Slumberland. Read moreThe very best part of our experience at Slumberland was Dair, the wonderful gentleman who greeted us at the door and introduced us to your company. If Dair represents your company philosophy, then we two seniors have become your biggest cheerleaders. We were seeking a good mattress with an adjustable platform. We had previously shopped at one of your competitors but left with little enthusiasm. From the moment we walked into Slumberland, Dair warmly and confidently gathered information and proceeded to show us mattresses. He displayed a wonderful way of narrowing down the best choices while giving us plenty of time to keep trying them out until a decision was made. We found the ideal bed, mattress pad, adjustable platform and pillows while having a delightful conversation with Dair. In addition, we also purchased a two beautiful leather entertainment chairs. Dair seemed to know exactly what would make us happy. He was simply wonderful. He should be teaching new sales employees how to take excellent care of customers. He was never pushy, impatient or displayed a lack of focus. He was intent on meeting our needs, rather than closing the sale. He also displayed a side range of knowledge about sleep positions, physiology and the matching of my needs to your mattresses. Dair is hands down the very best sales person we have ever experienced. I would not think of going to another person for my furniture needs. I have been telling my friends about my time with Dair at Slumberland with great enthusiasm. Finally, Dair is your very best representative for Slumberland. You would do wisely to bring Dair into training & management, however you would lose an absolutely stellar staff member in sales. Read moreThey don't seem to have a lot in stock. We were looking for a coffee table and end tables. We tried four different sets and none were in stock. We finally decided on a set that said we would have it in four weeks.
We were notified that our tables had arrived but the coffee table was damaged and would not be delivered. I asked that they hold the end tables until the coffee table arrived but was told that they had already staged the truck and the end tables would be delivered the next day and the coffee table the following week. I contacted Slumberland the following Monday and was told, after a delay, that the coffee table did not get on the truck from the warehouse due to a computer problem. I was then told that the coffee table would be delivered the following Tuesday. I again contacted Slumblerland the following Sunday to be sure that the table would be delivered and was then told that it would be delivered on Wednesday not Tuesday. The table was delivered today, Wednesday, Nov 15. It was still in the shipping wrapping. When they unwrapped it we found out it had a broken caster. The delivery people noted the broken caster on the delivery paperwork and said a repair person would be in contact to come and fix the caster. There was also strofoam pellets all over the table. We told them that we would vacuum the pellets off. We were told sorry about that. I could tell that no one had checked this table before it was sent out for delivery. Now we have to wait for a repair person to contact us and set up a time for repair. I guess we should be grateful that we...
