MANAGEMENT responding to emails 72+ hours later. Imagine if you would have a job if you only responded to emails every 72 hours
No one informed us about lock changes yesterday. Thankfully mine was changed when I was home. Irondel approached me saying âI was going to put your new keys in your mail boxâ. 0 proper communication. I would have gotten home after work and not know how to access my own unit I pay for.
Tenants getting attacked in the building by other tenants. We had an incident in July. Have a written letter from the tenant attacked which is the way the entire building found out about the situation. Management did not care to inform us nor send us any sort of updates. I reached out to Peter-Regional Manager who said they were âwaiting for the infoâ and then never informed us about what actually occurred or how the situation is being handled on our end (in terms of removing the tenant who caused the safety issue or addressing our safety).
Police is being called on regular day basis. Theyâre here on average 2-3 times a week.
Reported a gas leak at some point only to be told by maintenance there wasnât one. 4 hours later one of the tenants called fire department who beat up on our doors telling us to leave the property until they find the leak and the place is safe for us to come back to.
Section 8 moved onto the property. Management claiming theyâre not allowed to rent to them. Sent out a building wide email saying we donât have any. Got onto an elevator with someone today who was on a call with his lawyer on speaker asking about when section 8 will cover his rent since itâs the 4th of the month. So lying, increasing rent to regular tenants who pay on time and still not honest about whoâs living on property.
Overflowing trash in the garage bins. Because of that, trash all over the garage spreads. No one cares to pick up. Place is absolutely filthy.
Front office is so disorganized, they have no idea what goes on in the garage. People who donât pay just open the garage by entering by side doors and taking other tenants parking spots.
Weed smell all over the hallways.
Elevator is consistently broken. Last time both went out.
Dog poop/pee all over elevators (people donât care to pick up after their pets or clean up properly).
Noises coming from above. No response from management. No resolution. They tell you to call the police and wait to let them in (which is on average 45 minutes). Had someone drop something that sounded like a jar of change at 11:30 pm while I was sleeping and was told those were normal apartment noises I should expect from apartment living per Irondel.
People smoking weed in their cars inside a covered garage.
Garage doors not working so you canât get in to your parking spot you pay for.
Packages go missing or are getting opened. There is a camera in the room but no one seems to bother to check whoâs actually opening them.
Management claiming they only paint units every 5 years (walls are dirty and pealing).
Grills/fireplace donât work weeks at a time. Arenât cleaned regularly. Had the grease catch on fire over the summer because no one cares to check or maintain it.
We used to have beautiful furniture around the property. Not anymore. Everything is ripped apart. Building claimed theyâll be changing them last year (actually stated in instagram post if you would like to go back and check on it). Nothing was ever updated.
Wild summer parties at the pool. Tenants bringing a ton of their friends. Last year they broke glass bottles in the pool so they had to shut it down for proper cleaning.
Overall this place is a mess. Building isnât maintained, itâs not managed, no one is here to help. All they care for is to collect money. You end up dealing with all these issues yourself and being uncomfortable in your own place. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My experience with management is very poor. Rent at your own risk. I would...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW: Our decision for choosing a different complex was based on many different factors: -Price of the unit vs quality and space -Incentives -Quality and cleanliness of the amenities -Quality and cleanliness of the complex all together -Management company
Comparing my time at Apex41 5 years ago to how it is now, it seems that all of the above mentioned items have severely declined. The price of the units are much too high for being called luxury, especially in their current state. Other complexes in the immediate area are offering incentives and credits, which was one thing I was specifically looking for. While I know the incentives at Apex41 are based on occupancy, and many units are pre-leasing, the most expensive units are currently vacant. Since I have moved out of Apex41 in 2017/2018, the amenities and overall cleanliness of the complex have taken a turn for the worse. The package room was such a mess, and after reading other reviews online, seems to also be a huge safety concern. The golf simulator is in terrible shape, with holes in the walls and ceilings, and no ventilation in that room. The hallways have stained carpets and many of the floors in the building smell like animals/animal urine. The elevators also have an awful smell. It has been a little over 2 weeks of me waiting for a welcome letter and lease that many times I was told is being prepared and would be sent soon. My wife and I got tired of waiting for those, and started looking elsewhere. Within those 2 weeks, we were able to find a place (Elan Yorktown) that was better in price, had incentives, was cleaned daily, was more inviting, and overall a better value. We were able to get a walkin appointment to look at units, apply the same day to get the admin fee credited, supply additional documents, receive a welcome letter, and sign a lease all within the same 2 weeks that we have been waiting to hear from Apex41 for a welcome letter and lease to sign.
I am highly disappointed in Apex41 as a whole, and how the current management company is running this "luxury" property. It was a no-brainer for us to decide to forfeit the application and admin fees in order to choose a different place to live.
Hope this feedback will help Apex41 for future residents, as I am sure current residents would also provide the same feedback if they have not already.
ORIGINAL REVIEW 5 YEARS AGO:Just moved into Apex 41 yesterday and I have never been happier! From the first day I walked into the Leasing office, Stacy and Jason made sure I already felt at home. Jason and Stacy are the most upfront and honest leasing agents I have ever dealt with. The complex is brand new, everything from the appliances to the carpet to the gym equipment. After looking at other properties in the area, Apex 41 is without a doubt the best. I would highly recommend to come in and ask Jason or Stacy for a tour! Thanks so much Apex...
Read moreThe building, amenities and staff are very nice. It is well maintained, new and very clean. The building has a sort of luxury-hotel feel and is very nice from first appearances but unfortunately there were some things that did not thrill us about the property during the few months we lived at Apex.
Our ultimate reason for moving so soon was job relocation, so I will say that these were not the reasons for our exit, but they are definitely things that concerned us while living at Apex and I think are worth considering on an apartment with such a high price tag.
Here are some reasons I am only giving it three stars:
--Very thin walls/ceilings makes for lots of noise. We could hear the people above us walking every step, the TV's from next door neighbors and even when neighbors would vacuum we could hear it.
--They claim to be "energy efficient" however our power bill was WAY higher than anywhere we have lived before. We lived there during months where the temperature would fluctuate from 87 degrees during the day to in the 50's at night. We would have our A/C on Auto set around 72-74F during the day and around 67-69F at night, nothing very extreme. We were very confused when our electric bill was nearly $100/month when we were told during our showing that Apex was "energy efficient" and our bill would never be more than "$20-30". Yeah...maybe if you literally never turned on the A/C??
--Rent plus their extra charges get to be extremely expensive. $1,675 for a 1bed/1bath, plus $75 per month per car for parking (ex. $150/month for 2 cars), plus all utilities, etc. Storage is also an additional charge.
--While the leasing staff are extremely friendly, there were multiple mistakes made during the process of our lease signing and then continued errors on our bill every month. Just one example, we opted out of the paid parking spots when signing the lease, but the charge still appeared on our bill every month. While it was just a simple email to fix the error, it should not have continued happening and was rather...
