It's a place for one night and that's it. I stayed there after arriving in LA and before driving off to my next destination. The area is not the nicest, but LA is very expensive to stay. Room was nice, very spacious and ours was clean. Our problem was, you need to leave a 50$ deposit upon arrival and collect it when you check out. It says that checkout starts at 6 am, and we needed to leave early so we could get on the road. We went to the small window (that serves as "reception" at around 6:45 am to checkout, we rang the doorbell like 10 times and nobody answered. We could have just drove off and left the room key there, but I wouldn't leave my 50 dollars there. A lady showed up from one of the rooms, said she worked there but wasn't on the clock. We told her what was happening and she said we should come back later. When we refused and said we needed our money now, she called another guy who cleans the rooms or whatever, and he managed to reach out to the person behind the desk. A woman finally showed up with the most horrible face imaginable. She clearly had just rolled out of bed and was NOT please to have been woken up. Like I'm sorry, if the place says check out starting at 6 it's not my fault you were sleeping. If you don't want to check people out, just drop the 50 dollar deposit and have people leave the key at the window...
Read moreMe and my partner enjoyed staying here a lot. We got here after our flight to LAX. Getting here was very easy as the motel is right across the subway station. And they checked us in although we went there early. The owner was not the most “friendly” like others have complained but they already helped with everything needed so we didn’t care as we were there for the room not the smile of the owner lol. The bathroom was clean (as shown in pictures) unlike what other comments mentioned, maybe it’s renovated? And the AC worked well. The king bed was soft and the sofa bed was harder which was nice to fit different preferences. The microwave, refrigerator, towels, coffee machine and free snacks were all we needed after a 13 hour flight. The only complaint was that they didn’t have kettles so we couldn’t boil water. But overall it was a perfect place to stay after flight and...
Read moreThe rooms are okay for the price. Pretty dirty, especially the toilet was unusable when I arrived. I was glad I brought my own bedding as the bedding here had a strong cologne/perfume smell which didnt really smell like the rest of the laundry in the place so I think odds are good they're not washing the comforters very often. The room in general had a pretty strong urine+air freshener scent when I arrived. The door was pretty janky and took some like pulling/pushing on the door to align it before you can turn your key. The A/C and heat worked well. The fridge too.
There's always someone working the front desk tho and they were always really helpful, if a bit annoyed.
I've seen the reviews saying the area was really bad but I liked it. There's lots of good mexican food around and access to public transport. I think if you've ever lived in a big city before...
