I went to a party on 11/14/16 and made a plate. When I came to pick it up a week later, the lady told me it wasn't done. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift so I didn't want to wait too late. Then I came back the first week of December 2016 and it was horrible. I had put a fleur de lis in the middle and it had bled all over the plate. Since I couldn't give this as a gift I asked if I could have a refund and the owner told me no but she would redo it. So I came back a week later (which is when she said to pick it up) and again they told me it wasn't ready, so I had to scramble to find a new gift. I called in the beginning of January and they said that they couldn't find it and that they would give me a call when they found it. I called 5 times after that and got the same response that no one knew where it was. I finally got over to the east side of town at the end of march and went into the store. The lady couldn't find it and actually had to go through all of the products on the shelf. My plate was at the very bottom and was scratched very bad. It was nothing like the original I had made and again the fleur de lis in the middle was very messed up. When I asked for a refund the lady told me she could give me $30 back when the plate cost me $54. She also told me they wouldn't fix it and I would have to come back in to redo it. It took me 4 hours the first time and I don't have time to drive across town and spend 4 hours redoing a plate that now has no purpose. Very rude and unprofessional. So now I have a plate that not only I cannot use, but...

I've been going here for years. This place used to be wonderful. Used to be. They're really declined in the past year. I went back in February and painted a chihuahua. I took pictures before I left. When I picked up the piece after being fired, there was paint on him that was transferred from other pieces. I went last week and painted a knight. I picked him up last night and I barely got to look at him before the girl wrapped and bagged him. When I got home I took him out and noticed his foot was chipped. I looked in the bag and the wrapping paper for the piece that chipped thinking maybe I had done it, but the piece wasn't there. It's not noticeable when he's standing up, but it's very noticeable if I pick him up so I tried to color it in with a sharpie. I'm very disappointed with how careless they have been with pieces lately. I used to love coming here and would go several times a year. I also used to tell everyone about it because I was such a big fan. I don't think I will be back after this last visit. Once is an isolated incident, twice is unacceptable. Also, they didn't mention the chip to me when I picked up the knight or the paint transfer when I picked up the chihuahua. I guess they were hoping I wouldn't notice. Companies need to have integrity. I know this is a small business, but that's no excuse. Surely they realized the piece was chipped because someone there obviously knocked it against something-another piece, the counter, or maybe taking it out...

I’ve considered writing this review for sometime now considering my daughter and I have always loved coming to the paint spot for her birthday, for many, many years. I booked a package for our party of 5 and came into paint in May 2023. Unfortunately, our family suffered a tragic loss and I was unable to pick up our finished pieces for quite some time. I spoke with the staff over the phone many times assuring that our pieces would still be held without issue. I received rude calls from the staff twice as if I was purposefully leaving these pieces at the shop but as I had told them several times prior, we were not in town and were dealing with a very significant and tragic loss. When I finally picked up the pieces, my daughter’s birthday plate that was included in the package was missing and when I got home and started unwrapping the pieces…. Out of all of them, there was only a single piece that hadn’t been shattered into a million pieces. Heartbreaking to say the least. We will...

Painting and pottery are two of my favorite things so I was really excited to try this place. However, every time my husband and I have gone, they have messed up one or both of our items. They are clearly just careless when placing your items into the kiln as they often have other colors from touching some else’s piece or bits of ceramic stuck on there. They also claim to be food safe but after handwashing, all the items get these dirty cracks throughout the paint. On top of that, the place is often very crowded and loud. The owner is never friendly, and management will tell you how to paint your item or continue bugging you. I feel sorry for the younger staff members because they are always polite and leave you to paint freely. We have given this place at least 5 tries and always wind up disappointed. We spend the whole day painting just to have our items ruined EVERY time. We will never waste our money here again!

Paint Spot is such an awesome business. The staff are super nice and so helpful. It doesn’t matter if you’re a novice or an expert, they cater to your needs and that’s what is so unique about them. You pay a studio fee (to use their supplies) and then the choice is yours regarding what piece(s) you want to paint. As long as you find a seat in the studio, you can stay as long as you’d like. I appreciate that Paint Spot takes the pressure of time off of their customers because it makes the whole experience so much more relaxing and fun. It also only takes about a week to pick up your finished piece(s) and that’s an incredible turnaround time for how many pieces they probably fire on a weekly basis. I love this place so much and I can’t wait to come back soon. Thank you!!!
