I found several tops, 2 pairs of workout pants & pair of needed winter gloves. It was nice to see the women's plus size dept expanded from 4 4-arm racks Penny's had the last time I was in Penny's. However, having the plus size dept upstairs between the home & kids depts was very sad to me. It felt like Penny's was being "dutiful" in having a plus size dept but they still operate on the very outdated mindset plus size ladies need to be hidden away in a less trafficked area of their store. We also saw only ONE sales associate on the 2nd floor, in the Kids dept. I'm not even sure she was an sales associate; she might have been an in-store merchandiser. That said, she was very helpful to me, told me precisely where ladies winter gloves were on the first floor. (Kudos to her!) But as shared below, we had to get out of Penney's quickly due to the sweltering heat. The bigger issue my husband & I both had the day we were in Penny's was the overwhelming HEAT in the store! The outside temp was 30 degrees when we got to Penny's at 10:20am. The inside store temp felt like 95 degrees. We were not wearing heavy coats or winter clothes, either. The store was just sweltering HOT! As soon as I wiped the sweat off my forehead, it was just as wet within the next 5 seconds, a losing battle. In addition, the overwhelming heat made my husband sick, thus ruining our day out together. Read moreThis was my first online order. I chose curbside when ordering but apparently it isn't available at my location. I was trying to set it up as I arrived at the location and it told me that my order couldn't be located. I had to go into the store and wait in line. Another woman came up to help me but I had to wait for her to login, she didn't know what she was doing and the orginal cashier checked out 2 people before the woman decided she didn't know what she was doing and asked for help. Because of this inept woman, I had to wait twice as long to get my package and she had the nerve to be holding onto the box like I was going to steal my own package. While I was waiting, I received my email for my second order but because I was waiting for her to check me out and scan my email, I didn't see it until I was home...now I have to go back tomorrow to pick up an order that I could have picked up with the first order. Total disorganization, inept/rude employees and misleading online ordering...
Read moreOrdered well before the cut off time for same day curbside pick up. But this store makes their own schedule and they are rude about it. The were unapologetic. Offered no solution. Other than "Our cutoff time is 3 and not 5" I asked "Is that posted somewhere I missed? Response"No I am telling you now. You will just have to wait until tomorrow to get your stuff." I asked' Do you know Corporate had it posted the cut off is 5 not 3?" Response" That doesn't apply to this store. You will just have to drive back tomorrow." And the phone went dead. I called the customer help line and sat on hold during the entire 30 minute drive home, and while I unloaded my groceries and finally hung up when I started dinner. Hold time 53min 14 sec.
