Amazing, beautiful place to stay in Maui. Choosing the Blue Door made our vacation even better! The house is beautiful inside and outside, and the location is perfect to explore everything Maui has to offer - beaches, volcano, road to Hana, food scene, etc. Truly a fantastic place to stay.
It is located in Wailuku which is a fun, lively yet relaxed town with a great local vibe. Great coffee shop close by and food options just two blocks away (loved the Wailuku coffee place and the cold pressed juices and acai bowls).
And the central location was perfect to drive to Wailea and all the beaches in the south of Maui, or to the beaches in the West, likewise it is a short drive to go to Paia, and a perfect location to star the drive to Hana or to the increíble volcano at Haleakalā and the Iao valley is right there, you can actually see it from Wailuku.
The house is a great historic renovation that makes you feel super relaxed and inside our 1 bedroom was incredibly spacious, the living room was huge and very cozy, just like the bedroom, the kitchen very modern and the rainfall shower was fantastic.
Highly recommend this place and we are looking forward to staying there again the next time...
Read moreI stayed 5 nights at The Blue Door on Church Street. I stayed in the one-bedroom unit which was located downstairs and felt very private. It was extremely clean and felt like a home away from home. I enjoyed spending time on the patio just outside my bedroom and took photos of the beautiful flowers and plants. It truly felt like paradise! On some mornings I was greeted by chickens and birds who were enjoying the morning weather and wandering around the grass. At night I slept peacefully on the most comfortable mattress I have ever experienced (and I have a Tempur-Pedic mattress at home but I may need to change it!). Eric had recommended a local coffee shop and juice shop that were both within walking distance of the home. I enjoyed both places and was glad to support local businesses in the area. When I return to Maui, I will absolutely be booking with Eric again. He was very friendly and checked in with me before, during, and after my trip and was always available for any questions or anything that I needed. His beautiful and tranquil home provided me with a peaceful and relaxing vacation. I came back to Arizona feeling well rested, rejuvenated, and truly grateful for...
Read moreThe Blue Door is an exceptional location to get to wherever you want to go on Maui. Wailuku is the county seat where mostly government buildings are located, so you won’t find much to do there beyond the IO Valley. The best part is the location is in a quiet neighborhood with nice home amenities: large kitchen, large bathroom, and a king bed with an incredibly comfortable mattress, bedsheets, pillows, and comforter. If you love the beach as we do, there are two beach chairs (Tommy Bahama) and beach towels. The owners do a nice job of supplying kitchen ware such as a coffee maker, microwave, and portable electric burners. There is no oven, but we didn’t need to have one during our stay since we dined out. Two air conditioners keep the living space and bedroom very cool. All in all, we’d stay here again when...
