I was appalled by the manners and rudeness by the owner...this is how it went down, I was approached by an undercover police demanding I buy a coffee. I was sitting doing a tarot reading on the outside tables. OK I get it, it's a business, so I take my last three dollars give it to a friend and buy a cup of coffee to please the commerce gods, and the cop comes back to me and tells my table we have to leave immediately. I explained I was buying a cup of coffee (my friend was inside literately with the coffee in his hand) and the cop says "are u sure?" I was flabbergasted I was being rousted. The undercover cop , security officer, went into the establishment , I followed with my coffee, I set it down and approached the owner..."you can have your coffee" kind of defeats the purpose huh....where the hip come to sip...I am going to Starbucks where I can sit and have a good cup of coffee and be at a "coffee house" I never in a million years would think a franchise would be deliver better service to their customers... I guess I am...
Read moreListen, I came to Wailuku Coffee Company for a simple cup of coffee, and somehow, I left with a new lease on life. First of all, the aroma in this place? It’s like stepping into a hug from a coffee bean that spent a summer vacationing in Maui. The coffee? Oh, it’s not just coffee—it’s liquid motivation. Their espresso hits smoother than a Maui sunset, and their lattes? I ordered mine with Maui honey because I like my caffeine with a side of “I’m better than you, Starbucks.” And the food? I made the mistake of thinking I’d just grab a quick bite. The staff? Absolute rockstars. They take your order with a smile, and somehow, even at 7 AM, they have the energy of someone who’s already conquered a sunrise. Whether you’re a caffeine addict, a pastry enthusiast, or just someone looking for a reason to stay in Maui forever, this place will steal your heart—one...
Read moreGood coffee but just too expensive for what you get. I like this place snd the staff - so that’s why they still get a three star. They raised their prices and my latte now costs $7.25 USD. Our total was $40 for: Two vegetarian breakfast bagels, one latte and one coffee. Comparatively, I went to Nalu’s the other day, and for the exact same price, at Nalu’s we got an açai bowl, a fruit bowl with banana bread, kimchi fried rice with an egg, and an avocado toast with an egg. No comparison that Nalu’s was much better food and ingredients, and much less expensive even though they are located in a more expensive tourist area. This company just hasn’t remained competitive in todays market and is no longer a good value. Their food just does not stand out to justify...
