After having a not-so-great pasta dish a decade ago, I never went back. Recently, a friend posted a mouth-watering pic on IG which is what brought me back. The influence of social media!

ATMOSPHERE: I don't remember the inside being so "rustic", lol. As you enter, all you see is the kitchen. I guess that could be a good thing as it allows you to see the area your food is prepared in and how clean it is. There were a few high tops inside and outdoor seating that is shared with other eateries. Parking is either on-street, in a small lot fronting the building's east side, or the municipal lot behind the building accessible via Market Street.

MENU: Salads, cold & hot subs, pasta, pizza, calzone, desserts.

FOOD: Philly Cheese Steak - $7.50 I added grilled onions, mushrooms and green peppers for an additional 75-cents each. This was the social media picture that got me back in to Giannotto's. After having a very good version at Pat's in Philadelphia, I was excited to try this recipe. Dare I say I liked it more than "The King of Steaks'" version?! While not as gargantuan as Pat's, Giannotto's sub was very tasty and juicy, with real cheese (not liquid) and the softest bread I've consumed yet. Absolutely, positively, highly recommended!

Deluxe Pizza - $26.95 All pies are thin crust and 16" in diameter. The Deluxe included pepperoni, sausage, olives, tomato, onion, green peppers which we nixed (not my choice) and added mushrooms for $2.50. This was a good pizza with a savory sauce and fresh toppings but not outstanding due to the thin crust which has no "wow-factor", no matter who makes it. IMO, a thick, chewy crust just makes the pizza.

SERVICE: I called in my order and it was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. Two friendly male workers assisted me. I even got a "Thank you for ordering" from one of them. It's nice to receive appreciation especially nowadays when many workers could give a hoot.

OVERALL: That Philly Cheese Steak simply warrants two additional review stars. It...

When you walk into Giannotto's Pizza, you instantly feel the love and dedication that goes into every aspect of this place. Owned and operated by a passionate chef who truly cares about his craft, Giannotto's Pizza is more than just a pizzeria—it's a culinary experience.

The moment you taste the pizza, you know there's something special. The owner, who arrives at 4:30 every morning, meticulously prepares everything from scratch. The sauces are a revelation, bursting with fresh flavors that could only come from someone who understands the importance of every ingredient. The dough is perfectly crispy on the outside, yet delightfully chewy on the inside, a testament to the owner's dedication to getting it just right.

But it's not just the pizza that stands out at Giannotto's Pizza. The desserts are equally impressive. The homemade tiramisu is a crowd favorite, with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and creamy mascarpone that melt in your mouth. Every dessert is made in-house, and you can taste the care and expertise that goes into each bite.

The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a warm, friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. The owner often makes his rounds, checking in with guests and sharing his love for pizza and the art of making it. It's this personal touch that sets Giannotto's Pizza apart and makes every visit memorable.

In a world where fast food chains and pre-made ingredients often dominate, Giannotto's Pizza is a refreshing and much-needed reminder of what true dedication to one's craft can achieve. Whether you're a pizza connoisseur or just looking for a great meal, Giannotto's Pizza is sure to impress. Highly...

1/6/18 My wife suggested that we try this place since she recently had had a couple of great slices pizza with nice crispy crust which I love. We went there for lunch today; the man behind the counter was very friendly and we were off to a good start. Our pizza was unfortunately mediocre with two little sauce and too much cheese and very limp crust. When my wife asks for a to go box for the four slices we had remaining, the woman behind the counter (she had come in while I was paying, apparently returning from delivering pizza) gave her a small styrofoam container only big enough to fit one slice if you squashed it into a ball. She asked for a larger container and was then handed a larger styrofoam container so she asked for a second one so we could fit our slices without stacking them together. I thought this odd so when we were leaving I asked the woman why we were given styrofoam and not a pizza box. I could see behind the counter a big stack of boxes for their to-go orders. The woman quickly replied "because we don't have any pizza boxes" I just shook my head and left. Maybe she thought we were tourists but that's no way to treat anybody if you want them to come back....

This is some tasty pizza! My Italian friends give this place a 10+ and say it's the real deal. A lot of take out orders. I love the owner super nice.

Stopped by for lunch on the way back from hiking with wife, daughter, SIL and BIL. Didn't read any reviews before coming here, but read some afterwards and My experience is consistent with everyone else. Food hit the spot. I got the Philly cheese steak (which was excellent as stated elsewhere), daughter had a slice of cheese pizza, wife & SIL both had the Italian grinder (and both are continuing to talk about it as I'm writing this) and BIL had the meat calzone (was heavy with protein). Prices were more than fair, food was quick, Dave (owner) came out and spoke with us for a while.... Really great addition to our trip to Maui. Glad we stopped by.
