Extended Stay America Suites- Atlanta - McDonough — Hotel in McDonough

The worst place I've ever stayed at, we stayed on the 3rd floor, the first couple of nights the guests upstairs was so noisy, we had to go down to the front desk three times, before we were moved to the 4th floor, the wasn't clean, we encountered cockroaches, but the worst part about staying there was when the guy at the front desk (Jimil) called our room and stated that we had not paid for that night, we had been there for about 22 days and we paid every day that we were there, I went down to the front desk to address the matter, I tried to explain to him that we had already paid for that night, he kept insisting that we hadn't, I had my receipt, by this time I was getting upset because he was very rude, started embarrassing me in front of other guests and told me I was more than welcome to go somewhere else, I was so humiliated, I left and called someone in corporate, they pulled up my reservation and said I didn't owe anything and that he shouldn't have called our room, later that same night around 9, he called the room again stating that we owed for that night, since it was so late we decided to pay the 100 dollars for the night and check out in the morning, we went down to pay, but he ( Jimil) had went in and changed our room rate to 184 for that night when we was paying 82 dollars since we had been there, mind you our room was already paid for that night according to our reservation and corporate, we told him we wasn't paying that and could we just check out in the morning, he said no, you all need to check out tonight, I could not believe it, we had to pack up all our belongings, I had my 75 year old elderly mother with me, we had to leave in the middle of the night to find other accommodations, I was so upset and humiliated, I never heard anything back from corporate. We should never have been treated this way as being paying guests and this facility, I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at this property ever, In my opinion I feel like the guy at the front desk (Jimil)should be fired for treating a guest this way, if I could give 0 stars I definitely would. I would never stay at this location or any other extended stay...

Customer service is great. Had nice conversations with the guy that works there. The rooms look great and modern. But however, I had to leave due to them being Roach infested. I saw one crawled up on the wall. Minutes later I saw a baby roach crawling on the floor. Then I saw another one by the door after picking up my shoes. I was above the first floor as well. In room 219. Other reviews on here have encountered them as well on floors higher than mine so just imagine the first floor. I think they should let everyone leave and actually get professional pest control to attack the hive from poison bait or other methods. Usually this happens with newer buildings when they rush to move in. Roaches are nothing to play with and hard to get rid of especially if they travel with you like bed bugs. Pros: clean, comfortable bed, all the stuff you need/want: fridge, microwave, two burner stove, work and kitchen area, big TV, etc. Showerhead was tall and the water pressure was decent. I felt safe there, which is important as a single traveler.||Cons: I heard every single step that the people in the room above me took. All night long. But that is why I travel with earplugs. Also, while my room didn't smell like it, as soon as I walked onto the second floor hallway, I was hit with dirty ashtray smell.
