I go through the drive-thru more at this location than an inside. I have only been inside once or twice, so I keep this point in mind when reading my review.
Pros: I miss most of their kid-friendly activities! I appreciate the fact that they have them. When I did go inside, the eating area was nice and clean with enough chairs. The bathroom was also clean. My kid liked the playground. The staff, whether inside or out, are courteous and get your food to you fairly fast. The mobile orders get a line all to themselves, which is typically empty. So it's fast.
Now, I didn't give this store 5 stars for a few reasons, and even then, there are alternatives. . Chic-Fil-A is one of my favorite fast food chains so I will go into more detail here.
First, I don't go inside because their parking lot is less than desirable. With the cones for drive-through and the parking lot's bean shape, it makes leaving a space more difficult. Consequently, I have opted to go through the drive-through instead. I wish they would buy the empty lot behind the lot and expand the parking lot.
Second, they have increased their prices. I only go now for variety. I can go to a nearby soul food restaurant for more food and veggies for the price and even have leftovers.
Third, their portion size for their main sandwich is inconsistent. The breakfast nuggets are so small that driving to get that item or have it delivered is a waste of time and money. I get the salads now for more value. They are always good!
Fourth, getting into the parking lot from the left is a bit tricky due to all the traffic in the area. Thankfully, people tend to leave an opening so that you can pull into and out of the lot, so I haven't had as much of a problem. Another location is being built down the street, so this issue may prompt me to go there more instead when I am coming from that direction.
Fifth, I have had to check my order before pulling off, or else I wouldn't have realized I was missing condiments despite my request in the order line. They're always gracious to go back and correct it.
Sixth, ordering a salad usually means they ask me to wait at the front. I thought getting a premade salad would be quicker? Stilll it comes out soon thereafter. Plus, I'm not mad at the practice because I wouldn't want to be in the way of other customers. Speaking of salads, I once asked to customize one of their salads because it includes a personal allergen. So, I asked them to put an ingredient from a different salad. I hate to feel nickled and dimed: They not only charged me full price for the salad but added an additional .75 for the new ingredient. I wasn't expecting them to reduce the prices because I removed an ingredient, but I thought switching it out for a different ingredient would mean the price wouldn't change. They are getting to keep more of it. They explained that the two ingredients are not interchangeable so that's why they must charge. 🤷🏽♀️I just stopped ordering that one. The other salads are just as good.
So overall, good, fast, convenient, friendly, and community-minded. I just think they may be losing sight of other ways to make this...
Read moreThis chick fil a lacks everything you expect of a chick fil a establishment. The employees are not courteous and aren't there to serve the customers, the food is never hot and is always under portioned compared to any other chick fil a, especially a truetts, this chick fil a is also the slowest chick fil a I've ever seen. It has 2 drive thru lanes but only 1 is ever open. If they want to have employees standing in the parking lot for no reason maybe they should be assisting people trying to get out of that dump. If they ask you what sauce you want in the drive thru you can guarantee it won't be in the bag and they have no clue what a "Large" ice cream is. I ordered a large and a small one night and couldn't tell any difference at all. Seriously, if you want chick fil a. Go to the one on 81 by the post office or truetts on jonesboro road cause this location isn't of the franchise. It's a line establishment that clearly operates outside the chick fil a standard. I get my ordered jacked up every time and I've been trying to get them to make that meal right for almost 2 months. I went to truetts on jonesboro red and told them what happened at their inferior location and the manage gave me my meal for free out of pity. It's truly a shame when the restaurant can't even get things right or make them right either....
Read moreSpoke with a man tonight named Ed Hayes. What a great manger. When we entered the restaurant he was cleaning the women's restroom this took me and my husband for surprise. We have both worked in the food industry on and off for years never have we worked for a manger that cleans a restroom or in our life seen a manger clean a restroom or a lobby. After finishing cleaning a stall he said it was good to go. Since he had already sprayed the cleaner this was fine with me. We ordered are food very fast and friendly young lady. He was doing the trash and we had a very nice conversation about the passing through the town. We were on our way back to Florida from my husband dad's passing and memorial service. He spoke with us about his dad's passing. And a book I am going to check out red roses of December I belive it was called. Will be researching that soon. This was the best place we have ate and the cleanest place we have been in on the way up and back down. Will stop again to see if Ed's smiling face is still there....
