No let me point out before I get too far into this young lady that answered the phone and took my order covered all the bases and was very patient in doing so; However when I got there there was a line at the window, which is very normal for this place, it stays busy, The girl at the counter when I went in was number one not so friendly and number two by the end of everything apparently can’t follow directions. I very nicely asked for gravy to go with my order. I didn’t just asked for gravy once I made sure and followed it up twice after that. While I was waiting for my order to finish, I remembered I forgot to order a burrito for my nephew. I go back up to the register and I asked a girl to please add a burrito on to my order and she did. The same girl that took my order (could tell by her voice) Quickly asked to cook to drop her burrito while making sure that my blizzard was put in the icebox while the burrito cooked. The girl that was at The register was cleaning the ice cream case and as I went to refill my sweet tea, I’ll let her know that I needed taco sauce with my burrito please and also I think I took the last of the sweet tea. She wasn’t bothered by the fact that the sweet tea was out but rather just kept wiping things down. I appreciate a clean business but at the same time let’s make sure you cover the proper bases first. Cleaning is when you’re not busy. I’m angry because the one set of specifics I was asked to make sure of was the gravy and taco sauce, not salsa “cause it’s gross”.. thank you cleaning register girl for screwing up the whole evening for dinner ! And when I call to explain the mess up, I finish talking and I can hear them talking about it in the background but nothing else is said to me and then I was hung up on… Not cool not cool at all… I order here all the time and in the last few months things have just dropped to the point where I can go to Whataburger for this type of experience.. I come to DQ so I DO NOT have to have...
Read moreWorst customer service I have ever experienced. While still in high school I worked at two different Diary Queen locations opened and operated by different people. The level of service and cleanliness both of them instilled in me at such a young age has carried over. I can handle bad service from most food service providers as I just refuse to ever visit those locations again, but having worked for Dairy Queen I hold each location to the same impeccable standards.
My family lives in McKinney so I would like to say this is a favorite destination during the summer, but each time we have gone we have been met with awful service and even worse food/ice cream. It seems that each employee is worse the one before. When I worked at DQ it was mandatory to ask each customer if they would like lids and napkins. At this location they pretty much throw your items at your through the window and act put out if you hesitate to drive away because you need to ask for napkins. Unlike many people, I fully understand that during peak times the ice cream lines get full of air and the ice cream becomes liquified as it has not had enough time to freeze. This is fine and I am fully understanding if maybe the employees would say something like "Please pull over to your right and we will bring you your blizzard as soon as we can, we need to give the machines a couple minuets to freeze." Instead I have been met with runny blizzards leaking overflowing as it has no lid. Ultimately we have ended up with runny, chocolaty mess all over our laps, hands and car and no napkins to wipe it up.
My recommendation would be to replace the attitude sporting, zombie-like staff with people that actually care about having a job regardless of being in the food industry or not....
Read moreWhen were in Tx we can always look forward to getting Tacos at DQ since its only a Tx thing. We looked online and it said they opened at 10am so we sat in the parking lot for 15 minutes right out front. During this time we observed at least 6 employees sitting around in a circle talking we figured this was a shift meeting. At 5 minutes after 10 we opened the door and went inside. One of the employees leaned back in her chair and said they were having a meeting and they wouldn't open till 10:30. I didn't figure this was out of the ordinary and that due to current Corona virus stuff the website was incorrect not a big deal.
So we went back and sat in our vehicle and watched the employees through the front window for another 40 minutes. At 10:45 I couldn't figure out why they were still just sitting around in the lobby so we went back inside. One male subject got up and went to the counter to help us and when we asked about ordering Tacos he turned to the one and only person in the kitchen and asked when the kitchen would be ready and we were told it would be at least another 15 to 20 minutes.
We also watched 3 vehicles attempt to place orders in the drive-through without success. In addition there was a large water leak from the ceiling dripping down the lighted menu board into buckets and all over the counter. This in itself would be incredibly hazardous to the employees.
I have never seen such complete lack of management in my entire life. there were at least 8 employees in that building but no one could get up and work to make sure the location was open and ready...
