So me and my boyfriend stopped coming here because the food wasn't tasting the best over time. The last thing we got from here was their carne asada fries, but the fries weren't fully cooked and the meat tasted like it was defrosted or something. This was maybe 2 years ago roughly. We usually stop going to places where we have bad experiences but I was craving some street corn so we decided to give it another try. He ordered a churro sundae and I the hot Cheeto elote cup. After paying an employee came up to me and informed me they had run out of the churro sundae which was weird because it was 40 minutes into them opening. But we are understanding and agreed to changing the item for funnel cake fries. Oh Lord! Never again!! They gave us like 10 pieces of fries with 5 pieces or banana.... Like what?? Not worth $7 whatsoever. The corn had so much Cheetos and cheese and so little corn it was literally so dry even with all the mayo. I thought at least the street corn would be good but it wasn't. Not a good experience and we won't be returning. Such a shame. I would like to add that this is just our experience, maybe you might have a more pleasant experience as they do offer more items...
Read moreJust discovered King Kups Food Truck in McKinney and I'm absolutely thrilled! Tucked away by a gas station at 📍202 N Central Expy, it's truly a hidden gem for foodies. The Chicken Quesadilla blew me away with its juicy meat and perfect blend of cheese, earning a solid 5-star rating. The Taki Elote, with a unique, crunchy kick, was a deliciously spicy adventure, deserving 4.2 stars. But the Carne Asada Doblita? An absolute masterpiece, with tender and flavorful meat that melts in your mouth, clearly deserving another 5 stars.
They offer catering services too, which is fantastic news for anyone planning an event and wanting to impress with delectable fares. Yes, service was just okay and the food took a while, but let me tell you, it is worth the wait. Being next to a gas station, grabbing a drink while you wait is super convenient. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this flavor bonanza. King Kups has earned its spot as my top recommendation...

These are the BEST tacos we have had in the DFW metroplex in a long time, and we are pretty demanding Mexican foodies. We had carne asada and chicken bacon ranch tacos and shared an elote with Takis, all were out of this world. Tacos are bound in lightly fried, seasoned corn tortillas that are JUST thick enough to contain generous portions of deliciously cooked meats and melted cheese with flavorful sauces that do not overpower the mix. Do consider that these are Cali-Mex style tacos, not Tex-Mex or Mexican, and they are a perfect example of this technique. The elote was awesome - a huge portion with the right combination of corn, crushed Takis, cream/mayo, and fresh cheese. Addictive!
Do yourself a favor and try this joint out!!! We will be back to try their Birria tacos, tortas, mulitas, and...
