Update I eat here all the time. Was sick today and needed soup. I always get the tomato with a side of the fresh mozzarella. I usually also get a sandwich but due to the illness I ordered soup only. When I tried to order a side of mozzarella on the app it wouldn't allow me to order it unless I ordered a sandwich. When I got to the drive thru I asked if she could add the side of mozzarella to the order. She said no and basically said there was no way for me to get the cheese because she had no way to ring it up as an ala carte item. Not her fault but I was really surprised. The manager offered to give me a free side of cheese. I told her I wasn't looking for anything free so I tipped the drive thru $2 to cover it. A full order of cheese is 1.29. They gave me half an order of cheese. While I really appreciate the manager offering to give it to me I ended up paying more and got less. Panera has good food.I hope they consider updating the app/website so sides like cheese can be ordered ala carte or at least with the soups. Melted mozzarella on their tomato soup is amazing! The upsell potential would drive extra revenue so there is a benefit for the restauraunt. I took a star off my review for this and will return it to a five stars if they make this change. When people are trying to spend money at your business you should take it. --‐----‐----- I've been using the app to order online and pick up through the drive through. The food has been CONSISTENTLY amazing especially when Columbia is working. I know when I see her there that my order will be complete and everything will be awesome. She's really friendly and professional and does a great job. I wish more restaurant employees were like her. She genuinely cares that the order comes out correct and that the food is good. It's always a pleasure to visit when she's there. She really goes above and beyond for her customers. Thanks Columbia #1PLEASE bring back the Lemon Drop Cookies. Overall the food is really tasty. After my hot breakfast sandwich was served cold twice i wanted my money back for just the sandwich as, we my husband and i had a large order. Instead of the Manager Gretchen saying Im sorry about that, she proceeded to tell my husband how the sandwiches were made defending the reason my Hot breakfast sandwich cold. Mind you, my husband and i order personally as well as for his employees either from panera or bread co all the time and order that same sandwich all the time. its Never cold always hot. My husband new it was a loosing battle so he walked away and went to wash his hands so we could leave and, by the time he came out, the Manager Gretchen met us by the tables where a lot of her other customers were seated only to begin arguing with me about why the sandwich was cold. At this point i was embarrassed that she left the counter to argue with us in front of her customers so i told her, we come here all the time and this $5 sandwich is never cold. Here response to me in front of her other customers was i cant control that the sandwich is $5. Wow, as if it was about the money! i said at that point, it is not about the price it was about me paying for a hot breakfast sandwich served cold as i walked away to leave her doing nothing about the situation, her keeping the money and the receipt. oh, by the way the entire time she had this smerk on her face. Completely unprofessional and totally not a representation of the Panera that we know. As long as Manager Gretchen is there, my husband and i will no longer go there for our personal or business needs. The food tastes good, some items I avoid but that's more of a personal preference than it being bad. While the food is good, it's a little expensive for what it is. It's expensive because they claim to source and use quality healthy humane ingredients.
When it's more busy you're more likely to get something wrong in your order. This I feel like is usually because our quality checker has a lot of things to do so they sometimes forget to put an item into the bag. If you receive your sandwich but it's got the wrong modifications then it's likely that the sandwich maker wasn't paying close enough attention to what you wanted changed.
We just recently moved to this new location. I used to like doing work on a laptop at our old store or other locations, but the new store is too bright and loud. It doesn't have the comfy work cafe atmosphere that other Panera locations do. The atmosphere for eating with others is still good though.
Service is pretty good though. We usually handle whatever issues that are brought up pretty well. If you dine in and something is wrong with your order we'll happily help out by providing what we forgot or remaking it if it's wrong.
