First, I recommend this hotel. It's nice. We checked in last night. Evening receptionist was welcoming. Room was nice enough. Clean, smelled clean as well. Shower pressure was ok. No trash bags in trash cans. Jacuzzi was relaxing. We arrived at the end of the kick back. So, understandably, there wasn't much left. But what was left was delicious and flavorful (gumbo, chicken alfredo, salad, soda). My only issue here was we booked the room for an additional night at a reduced member rate, but my bank statement showed we were charged the regular rate. We called reception and were told the extra charge was for tax. We explained the reduced rate clearly states taxes were included. When we couldn't get a resolution with the morning receptionist we asked to speak to the manager. The manager initially spoke as though he was just as ill informed about the member rate and tax inclusion as the receptionist. When we acknowledged we have a receipt that says the reduced rate had taxes included the manager asked to see a copy. My husband went to the front desk and presented the email receipt to the manager. The manager agreed to adjust the rate to a lower membership rate, which we greatly appreciate. We frequent hotels and overall this is a nice, clean, quiet, and relaxing hotel that I would recommend to all. Just make sure you have your receipts so you won't have to go through the hassle of being over charged, especially if you are a member. This experience is the only reason I rated this hotel the way I did. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future. The first night the fridge was not very cold. By the afternoon of the second day the fridge temp was perfect. I'm thinking it may have just been plugged in to accommodate us the night before and originally needed time to get cold enough. Very quiet and relaxing get...

In late June my young teen boys and I stopped here on our way to Dallas, TX from Charleston, SC. Since I couldn't sleep, i decided to get up and go for a workout (only about a month out from having been inactive for about 6 months due to a broken ankle). As I was working out, I experienced a shortness of breath that scared me--more than the usual "out of shape". With help of a nurse, I decided I needed to go to the ER. I had to leave my two boys at this hotel...with no extended checkout or second night reservation.--and my 15yo had to discuss all of this with the manager (he did amazingly well!) To make a long story longer, I was released in good health about 8 hours later. During that time, the manager extended us a no-charge late checkout and then, as things dragged on , he was gracious enough to honor a request for another (paid) night on short notice.
Since we were due in Dallas the next day, although it was 4 pm when I got back to the hotel, I asked if we could check out and the manager VERY GRACIOUSLY agreed--without any charges beyond the previous night's stay. No second night charge, no late checkout fee....
All I can say is this: I was worried to DEATH about how to take care of my kids --food, shelter, whatever--while I was in the ER. These folks went the extra mile and gave me not only peace of mind but gracious hospitality. ...
Read moreDuring my recent stay at Drury Inn in Meridian, Mississippi, I encountered a disappointing situation that left me dissatisfied. Unfortunately, I left behind my laptop charging brick and cable in the room upon check-out. Despite reaching out to the hotel through email and phone messages, I have not received any response or assistance regarding my lost item.
While I understand that a laptop charger may seem trivial in the grand scheme of things, the lack of communication and effort from the hotel staff to address the issue raises concerns. It leaves me uncertain about how the hotel would handle a more valuable or sentimental item left behind by a guest.
It is disappointing to encounter such a lack of responsiveness, especially when one expects a basic level of customer service and attention to guest concerns. I had hoped for a more proactive approach from the hotel in assisting guests with their lost items.
While I appreciate other aspects of my stay at Drury Inn, the unresolved matter of my lost item and the absence of any response from the hotel staff have left a sour impression. I hope that the hotel management takes note of this feedback and takes steps to improve their communication and lost and found procedures.
In light of my experience, I would recommend potential guests to carefully consider their options and be mindful of the hotel's responsiveness to...
