Celebration Station — Attraction in Mesquite

Avoid this place at all cost!! Saw some mixed reviews but decided to give them a try. The so called general manager Todd Morris is a joke of a trained manager and is the only reason my family and several others will never be back. 95% of employees literally look & talk like they hate working there. They have signs on the attractions that says “staff is rotating” which basically means not all attractions are open at the same time. They're cheap and refuse to hire staff to cover all the attractions, so no telling how long you’ll wait. The train and bumper boats were collectively closed about HALF the day. After spending over $400, my toddlers “all day pass” started to tear. The rude manager did nothing to access the situation, only got a smart mouth w/ my wife & stated it wasn’t valid and then radioed to his crew to deny a 3 year old entry to any attractions. I was only able to get her a replacement wristband after producing my receipt and the disrespectful manager Todd took 30 minutes (which was time away from my child enjoying herself) to roll the surveillance tape back that showed everyone with me had an all day pass. To top it off, after being there several hrs, same rude and untrained manger told his crew to not allow my wife to ride the go-karts unless her long hair was “up in a bun” (they specifically said the order came from todd…who didn’t have the courage to say something himself) ..just keep in mind earlier on this same day she rode the go-karts about 5 times and no one said a word!!! The unprofessional manager was butt hurt after being proven wrong about the torn wristband so this “hair” was a targeted attack. I have about 4hrs of video showing numerous other patrons with long hair and NONE were asked to change their hairstyle. Retaliation lawsuit might be in the works 😉 AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU VALUE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ps - obviously they get a lot of bad reviews and erase them b/c they have an employee going around offering you a $10 arcade card if you leave them a 5 star review. Here is my honest review of Celebration Station after my families experience there this evening. First off it is Saturday night and when we arrived close to 9 PM the place was fairly busy at the front. The line to purchase food / attractions took roughly 20 minutes to get through. I purchase 5, 1.5 hour, all inclusive packages which ran me close to $150. I first wanted to hit the batting cages. The employee there told me that was not included with the package but after I shared with her that the front staff told me it was she was nice enough to start it up for me. She told me I needed to wear a helmet, fine cool, I put one on. It had no padding inside it so I'm unsure what it would've helped but nonetheless at least they are trying to be safe. Well I immediately ran out of the cage as the automatic pitcher was way off the strike zone and almost took my head off. It actually broke one of the signs hanging on the gate to that particular cage. Scary. So then I move to the cage next door and all is cool except I have to take the helmet off because without the padding in it I can't move my head to see the ball. On to the go carts, my complaint here will be about the other patrons and the staff. So while waiting in line there were a group of older teens videoing themselves shaking their butts and fighting with each other. First, one of them ran to get away from another that was trying to hit him and slammed into my back, he apologized, cool, no problem, but then one of them backed into me I believe while taking a video. I said something to them as none of the staff were and of course they all break out cameras like I'm the big bad guy. It's not worth it for me so I get quiet and turn back around and now here we all are hitting the go carts together and they are hitting my cart at every turn, even though they are not supposed to use these as bumper cars. Where was the staff during all of this? I brought it up to the manager, Todd, who was nice enough to comp us some game cards for an additional visit but if this place is going to stay in business in the long run they need to police their patrons a little better. No party host. Had to constantly wait in the long line to get any help from anyone. Paid $480 for one of the middle party packages. No refills on drinks. Half of the cards and wrist bracelets that came in party package weren’t scanning or said they were empty and they hadn’t even been used yet. Absolutely 0% on customer service. Had to chase down help to get plates, and then again for forks, and then again for party wrist bands. Almost $500 and the service was awful. No decorations, no napkins, no balloons, and getting plates and utensils was like pulling teeth. The people in charge of the outside attractions were so incredibly slow and incompetent. They would stand around looking at their phones or talking to each other while we waited and waited in the long lines. The down time between the rides was ridiculously extreme because of their ride attendants standing around and talking to each other. Half the time the go kart attendants didn’t bother checking the seat belts on the double riders, or would send 3 or 4 carts at a time and at other times they would send 20-25. When they would only send 4 they would laugh and shrug like they didn’t care people were waiting. And the wristbands had a two hour time limit so you were paying to basically wait in the lines. None of the ride attendants for any of the outside attractions ever smiled. They all seemed so angry and sullen. Definitely do not recommend ever using this method place for a birthday party. Majority of the day it reeked of weed inside the arcade area. Trash was everywhere. Half the machines were broken and out of order. If it was possible to give this place 0 stars I would.
