The Julia is a nice quaint hotel. I have been traveling alone and needed something quick and clean. The prices are reasonable for the area. However, be warned you need to pay for parking ($4/hr or valet $30/day). There is also a $19 resort fee and taxes that they don’t include when booking. They provide a very simple breakfast of a pastry, yogurt, fruit cup, toast, and coffee. The rooms are modern and clean. The bed was quite comfortable and I slept well. No kids seems to be a plus. There are 2 downsides that kind of drove me nuts. The shower is nice, but not fully enclosed. Water gets out into the bathroom and they didn’t provide me with a floor towel/mat. All the floors are tile/linoleum everywhere. There is literally no noise dampening from the hallway. When other patrons came into the hotel at 2:00 AM, you Could clearly hear every word of your conversation as well as their footsteps down the hall. Early in the morning as other guests were leaving, you could hear doors slamming shut. If those 2 things were not issues, this would be a great 5 Star review. It’s worth giving a shot though. Right near South Beach and places to eat.

Upon arrival the host messed up our reservation. She said we needed to pay even though we had already paid in full, charged us anyways, & then we had to have the manager reimburse what she had charged after we showed proof that we already paid. They had our room set up for king size even though we requested 2 twin so they had to fix that. The majority of their staff could benefit from a course in customer service, the female staff members came off as rude. The male staff member was friendly & made sure we had everything we needed, even checked to see if we wanted anything else from the happy hour before he put everything away. There is no elevator or pool which was okay for us, but probably not for others. Online says they provide you with robes, but we didn't see any. Great location, walking distance to the beach, beautiful atmosphere. They partner with Savoy Brothers which is where you access your beach chairs & towels. Enjoyed the breakfast (croissants) & happy hour (wine, cheese, crackers, olives) provided.

Such a nice place! Very spacious, modern, and clean rooms. Comfortable mattress and lots of light options. The design of the whole place is very beautiful. Checking in and checking out was very easy. Edu was extremely sweet and helpful during our stay. They even kept our luggage after we checked out so we could enjoy South Beach. The location is prime. Quiet neighborhood but you can access restaurants and coffee shops easily, not to mention THE BEACH. Would love to come back and highly recommend, my friend and I are were very comfortable. Wifi is also reliable, both from the room and the lobby, it was possible to work smoothly during the day. I would’ve liked coffee in the room or tea, but other than that it was a nice stay at a good rate for Miami Beach. Thank you so much!

THIS PLACE IS GHETTO AF!||||Since we landed and came into the hotel we’ve been dealing with issues from employees. ||||Morning 1:||At around 2am-3am we had other tenants get into a fight and yelling through the halls and front. There was banging in the windows and impossible to sleep through. You could imagine how inappropriate this looks for the other hotel guest. I thought this was over and maybe a tenant having a bad day with their significant other…but that wasn’t the case. ||||Morning 2:||Around 5am-6am there were more banging of the windows and women yelling in the front and arguing that echoed throughout the hall. This was probably the straw that broke the camels back because we didn’t have one peaceful night and fear for our lives that if we complained these women would try to fight with us (I’ll get back to this later in this review) Why should we as guest have to be afraid to speak up to others who are being totally inappropriate? This is not okay and honestly the worst experience I’ve had in my life staying somewhere that includes the staff AND hotel owner. No security, pretty ghetto at this point and no one around to help guest stay at ease. ||||Same morning after we were up working in the front of the hotel other guest started to complain and ask for a refund to the front desk girl. They said they were afraid to ask people to stop yelling and banging because they were scared that based on their tonality and actions this will only make it worst. She looked to her right to a man and he said “we don’t do refunds but we’ll gladly move you to a different room.” ||||This same evening there was a lady that was sleeping in the front couch. (See picture) I came back after a late dinner and she then had a sheet over her and was sleeping in the front lobby. Like I said, this place is ghetto. ||||So there I am trying to do the exact same thing other guest wanted and I already had my answer from this man who we thought was the manager. ||||A couple of minutes continue and this man turns out to be the owner! Flaunting to his staff how he’s a millionaire and that they are only working until 3 so there shouldn’t be a problem. There’s guest in the front listening to this. My wife sure did as well and they did not care. ||||That’s the owner! This is so inappropriate and I honestly didn’t want to be in this place anymore nor give them anymore money. I had written a complaint to Airbnb and they did nothing. Instead, it was sent to the front desk person who began to knock at my door while I was still sleeping in my underwear and she began to chuckle and smile because clearly I looked like I was out partying the night before and wanted to have a “chat” with me about my message to Airbnb. I have never done this but due to the current events from staff and owner I wish to leave and get as much as I can back from such a horrible stay. ||||She told me that she talked to the owner and her said they can’t refund me because I was asking for most of my money back (I was morning 3 and the first two early mornings were horrible of course I want my money back) she then again asked me if I wanted to move to the back of the hotel where it’s more quiet (no thank you) and was offering that so that I don’t offer a bad review. ||||If you have read this far, look up this place (the Julia hotel) and you’ll see in other platforms they have really bad reviews. I would absolutely not recommend this place and shame on Airbnb for allowing people like this in their platform and not being able to help out...

We have stayed here three times now and I’m always conflicted on what to say within an accurate review. This is a really cute boutique hotel. That is incredibly convenient with the location. It is in walking distance from South Beach, Nikki Beach, Carbone, and literally every restaurant. Of course, right by the strip as well.

However, every time we come, I gripe about the same few things… First of all, the towels are all very very dingy and worn out. Is an automatic turn off anyway. One morning we had ran out of towels, and I asked the girl at front desk if she could get us more. She brought us back more, however, one The smaller washrags had hundreds of little tiny black hairs stuck in it. It looked as if someone had just finished shaving and maybe wiped their hair up with it? I’m not sure, but it was really gross and such a turn off. On the front desk agents behalf, although she was very nice, I do wish that she would have checked to see what those towels looked like before she handed them off to us. However, I think she was in a hurry to get off of her shift since it was around 330PM at that time. Also The tiling in the shower is always crazily dirty. I remember seeing on the Airbnb reviews a few years ago that someone said they had finally gotten one of the rooms with clean tiles in the shower. So at least I know, I’m not the only one who complains about that. It just takes a good brush to clean between those tiles. If they could just have one designated day for deep cleaning on certain rooms, that would be awesome because this is a really cute hotel with great potential definitely just needs to get the cleaning crew together to do a better job. There was also a weird infestation of gnats this time around in our room. Which was kind of embarrassing when we had guest over. But it’s OK. Just little things that need to be tweaked. Mostly just the cleaning and getting new towels. As I had previously mentioned, we have stayed at this location three times now over the last three years and each time it has been the same Gross little issues. I do wish they had someone working front desk longer than 4 PM. However, when you talk to whoever is working front desk, typically they tell you where everything is that you need, if you need to restock on toilet paper Etc. They also have a great option for parking. Located within walking distance. Love this location just please get some new towels and try to clean up the showers a little bit. I forgot to mention that there was hair stuck to the wall of the shower , that was...
