We were very disappointed with Casa Ocean. We were there 5 days to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. The room didn’t have any dressers. The TV service was horrible. We reported it to the one staff member and she basically argued stating there was nothing wrong but would get someone to check it out. Turns out the internet was not connected. We didn’t go to watch TV, but after several long hot days we wanted to come to our room to relax and watch a movie. NOPE never happened. There was no microwave no ice machine. Anytime we needed something we had to scan a QR code. Then we would receive a text asking what we needed. The coffee in the lobby we had to purchase. On the day we were leaving, we saw the housekeeper putting the clean towels that just came from the laundry on the floor. The only time we were asked how our stay was is via text messages. We choose this Hotel because of the 5 star reviews. We enjoyed our days outside of the Hotel.

Casa Ocean is perfectly located!! The beach is right across and the beach/ water is actually nicer and crystal clear on the beach directly across from the hotel (the busy 5th street/ ocean drive beach area has more seaweed). Great restaurants nearby and Walgreens just a few steps away. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. How is no one talking about how comfortable the beds are!! It was such a cozy comfortable sleep. The staff are also super friendly when you have a question or need anything. Self check in/ getting in with a code was also super easy and it was nice to not have to carry a key. The walls are kind of thin and can hear others when they’re in their room but it never bothered us or gave us a negative experience. None of our hotel neighbours were excessively loud. Would be happy to stay here again!

I recently went to this hotel it’s in a good location unfortunately I had a really poor experience from the staff, the rooms are tiny, and I’m really frustrated on how my wife and I were treated on our stay. Here’s some of the things that really frustrated us. 1. FALSE ADVERTISING It’s posted for 330 sq Ft. They cut the room in half and your room is 150 sq feet. W/ bathroom at best. 2. ITS SO HUMID: the humidity was unbearable and the AC was hard to control due to the size of the room. One min you’re hot the next you’re freezing. It feels so muggy and sticky and you’re just uncomfortable 3. WALLS PAPER THIN: you can hear the neighbors full convo. 4. They only clean your room once every three days. On our 7 day stay they cleaned the room once and only changed our towels once.

I try to always leave positive reviews but unfortunately, this one is very difficult to find the positives for Casa Ocean. We traveled as a group of 7, with a total of 4 rooms - 3 on the 1st floor and 1 on the 2nd floor. We had a late check-in around midnight and were very thankful for the gentleman that waited for our arrival. Upon entering my room, a moldy smell hit us immediately. The gentleman agreed, stating something wasn’t right and was kind enough to move me into a new room, after requesting. My new room had hair EVERYWHERE - all over the clean towels, the shower, both the bathroom and bedroom floors, and on the bed - including under the comforter. I went back to the front desk however, the gentleman was gone, as I expected due to our late arrival. I sent an email to management and decided I had to unfortunately book a room nextdoor at the Balfour for the night. The next morning, I returned to Casa Ocean to further discuss my concerns and the lady running the front desk was extremely rude. Not only to myself but also a fellow guest who was requesting clean towels, stating the guest should’ve removed the “do not disturb” sign on their door that morning. All I asked is that my room be re-cleaned correctly this time or I receive a refund. After a few hours, my room was cleaned again, although still not great, it was manageable for the duration of our trip. I eventually decided it was best I clean the room myself and purchased cleaning supplies from Target, along with bedding. Others in my group also expressed concerns with their rooms as well - including stained comforts and dirty floors. Positives-distance to the beach and the two gentleman working. Cons-very dirty hotel, walls are extremely thin and can hear everyone’s...

Besides the constant humming noise I heard from our room, it was a good place to stay! I also just saw another review though that mentioned the humidity. I woke up throughout the night struggling to sleep due to it being so humid. I’d wake up sweating or the bed was super damp but I know in Florida it’s tricky to get the heat and AC ratio right. The room was either too cold for us or too warm but it was always at 68-70 (but we’re from MN and we came here in January haha). Still wasn’t a terrible place to stay. Our friends stayed about 10 mins north of us, on Ocean Drive, at another Airbnb and it was not as clean or nice as ours. Our room was well maintained, very fresh and clean.. and room service is every three days unless requested otherwise, I believe. We got a room at the very end on second floor so we might’ve been placed above a furnace room or something. The humming and the random water pump sound might have came from that.. Otherwise, it was pretty quiet (: I loved the self check in and being able to come and go as we pleased. Staff were always present up front if something was needed. They even provided a link through text with things to do. We really enjoyed Miami and this spot was great. Beach access very near by and everything was a walkable distance. We mostly stayed on ocean drive for our four day stay! Would definitely stay here again if we were to...

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights after a cruise to Meer up with my sister that was driving down to see me. First there is now elevator and we had to bring our luggage up several flights of stairs to the second floor. There is even some stairs up to the first floor. Second, the walls are so thin that you can hear EVERYTHING! I listened to loud snoring all night from the room next to us and could not sleep. We had friends in another room that had the same problem with the TV in the other room all night and kept them up. Third, the people are rude and no hospitality at all. We delt with two different people and both were very rude. They sit in their back office and don't even greet you or want to come out of their back office to help you. They did have a nice coffee machine out front if you want to pay for it with a credit card. The place was clean, and not far from the beach. That is about all the positive that I can think of. My husband and I travel a lot and I don't do a lot of reviews but had to do one for this place. If you at least want to sleep, go...
