La Playa Market — Local services in Miami Beach

This market is a great place to stock up on some essentials when you have a kitchen in your hotel/AirBnB/etc. They're a little pricey, but when you need paper towels or lunch meat, it's a great resource. They also have some great snack selections, including cassava strips that were quite tasty.

We purchased some con-leches from this place one morning, and they weren't too bad - the sugar didn't dissolve all the way so it was all at the bottom. Otherwise not too bad.

We also got lunch here at the food counter, and it was quite tasty. The boiled vegetables were a little watery and could have used some salt, but it was nice to be able to find a Paleo/GF option so close to where we were staying. There is a distinct paucity of vegetables among many restaurants in SoBe, so it was nice to find a good variety - it had broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, yellow squash, and zucchini. The roasted chicken was very tasty, and sweet plantains are always good. I had a taste of the yellow rice, and it was tasty, too. It was a little pricey for lunch, but still cheaper than a restaurant.

YOU GET HEALTHY PORTIONS and THE BEAUTIFUL CUBAN COOK ASKS YOU IF YOU WANT MORE, MORE, SHE WILL KEEP PILING THE POTATOES ON UNTIL YOU SAY ..... " ENOUGH "

FOR BREAKFAST THIS FRI MORNING THEY HAD OX TAIL, RICE N BEANS, POTATOES and MASHED GREEN PLANTAINS. MY WORDS ONCE AGAIN ..... AMAZING, FABULOUS, TASTEY, FLAVORFUL, AUTHENTIC and NOTHING BUT ENJOYABLE WITH EVERY BITE !

I ENCOURAGE ALL TO VISIT " LA PLAYA MARKET " TO HAVE A BITE TO EAT. THE BONUS PART IS .... YOU CANT BEAT THE PRICE.

Visiting from Oregon! Came in at 9pm deli was understandably closed. Mr Luis Soto however, made time to make us 2 Cuban sandwiches. These were absolutely delicious. I’m a sandwich fan but these were flavorful and warm and even the bread was great! The arroz con leche is the BEST ever and I have had many of them from many places and this one 💯 % delicious! It was so good we came back the next morning. This time we had arroz, beans, and pollo and let me tell you; WONDERFUL spices!
