The rooms are modern and the hotel is newer. But since opening a few years ago the quality has decreased. The room seems clean but you will find unfinished wall patches, toilets that aren't properly attached to the floor, and grimey corners. They've taken the throw pillows away from the couches. The furniture is hard and uncomfortable, including the mattress. Linens are torn and very worn out. Our unit this stay had a burger joint smell to it for several days.
The desk agents seem as if they really wish you weren't even there. Like you're distracting from the games they're playing on their cell phone when you want to check in. This was exactly what happened to us.
Today I had one agent try to enter our room while I was in the shower. He claimed we were supposed to be checked out, even though I had extended our stay before we arrived, about a week before today. So apparently they can't update your stay correctly. The man refused to leave my door until "he talked to somebody" about our stay. I told him not only had I called to extend our stay, but I had just gotten out of the shower and couldn't talk at the moment. He still refused to leave the door. I finally told him we'd go to the desk shortly, and he left. I had to deadbolt the door as I didn't feel safe.
They didn't call or text or anything before forcing their way into our room.
My husband (who was not here at the time of the incident) called the front desk and they fixed our departure date, but offered nothing else for the inconvenience and the improper customer service. At this point they said they had tried to call the room, but obviously I didn't hear it. Either it wasn't loud enough to be heard over my fifteen minute shower or they didn't actually call.
The hotel needs to retrain it's employees on both booking procedures and proper customer service.
I think the next time we come to town I'll book a different hotel....
Read moreFantastic location right next to I-275 and then, of course, you have your Walmart, Target, and plenty of places to shop. There's a movie theater and other means of entertainment. There is multiple great Midwestern based eateries as well as nice pizza joints, and fast food. Cant forget the fuel stations as well. As far as transportation needed to enjoy everything, it is all within walking distance. Even with all the places in such a close proximity it is still amazingly peaceful out on their lovely patio with a nice warm gas firepit. The rooms are absolutely fantastic, the service is very delightful. The breakfast is always delicous. They even offer a small multiple appetizer mini Buffet Monday through Wednesday evenings, which is always nice as well. The gym is large enough for your cardio, your weight lifting, and even yoga if you choose to do so. They also have a delightful swimming pool that is large enough for you and your family and others. It's also handicap accessible along with all other parts of the hotel. Also, caters to the blind with audio support as well.... I really can not say enough good things about the staff. Also with it being a newer hotel as well, it has all the updates you could want, and cleanliness is off the charts in a positive way. In my opinion the price is very reasonable given how great everything is as far as the hotel, the property, its great parking and the commodities. It really is the best in the area,...
