Came here for my granddaughters BD. There were 8 of us, and we were seated at 7:05, and while we were being seated, hostess was knocked off her game when we requested that we not have to be seated so that the entire booth not have to slide out to let someone go to restroom.. Had to chase her down to let her know just moving tables alittle to allow access from both sides of table would work. Server (Bryan) came over and took drink orders. My daughter ordered appetizer. ..Drinks delivered at 7:25. Food orders placed, and we continued our celebration. At 8:05 daughter commented that her app hadn't come out yet, and 6/8 had empty drink glasses..Bryan had not returned and everytime I spied him to ask for something he seemed to know and turned away, never looking in our direction. My father was starting to get upset, and walked up to server stand by kitchen where server was standing. When approached about drink refills and app, he told Dad we hadn't been there that long, and he needed to step away from station..."Don't make me have to get the manager" was his response TO my 75 y/o Dad.. Bryan stomped off in direction of back, cussing as he was going around corner. Amanda the manager came out, spoke to my father, and went to get food from the kitchen line. Bryan did help deliver food,(8:25) and directed his coworker as to where food went..then was never seen again...thank gawd, but he did spend next hour or so giving a stink eye everytime he walked around the service line to go in back.. or do sidework. Once food was delivered, there were drinks needed all around, Food was not correct for 2 in group.. were taken back, and remade. (15 mins) Now is as good a time as ever to say, I worked in service industry ALL my adult life, and 12 of them for a corporate restaurant chain. Almost everything about this visit was WRONG..AND it started with hostess , moved on to server, not completely happy about managers response.. ..and we never saw the manager again after food/drink was delivered! Only bright point in entire service staff we dealt with....April, a server who helped get drinks, food, led a round of 'happy birthday' for our BD girl, and delivered our checks...(9:45) She maintained a smile and helpful attitude throughout evening All that being said..the burgers ordered..Monster , A-1 peppercorn, were very good, and portions were fairly generous, steak fries are not anything to write home about, French Onion Soup was mediocre at best, lacked onion in broth, and broth tasted..uh. sweet..(not good to me, perhaps you like it that way)Chicken wings were good, however ordered with bleu cheese "dressing" as opposed to the crumble they toss over the wings.. a ramiken of bleu cheese 'sauce" was brought. Toppings on burgers were fresh, and tasted good, ..There was some confusion on the bottomless sides, (which were never brought) I ate there and still don't know which ones are bottomless, ( yes, I did ask..) The food must be the draw as service was horrid, (it obviously start at the top) had no follow through , and I think that almost 3 hours for a dinner is insane! !My visit hopefully is not indicative of this chain, but I would not go back to this location again.
Edit: even after sending a detailed email to corporate with my complaints, all they wanted to know was my check number. ....
Read moreThis Red Robin visit left me with a sense of disappointment and frustration, as the once-decent restaurant seems to have fallen apart in several aspects. While our server provided excellent service, the overall experience was marred by issues that significantly impacted our enjoyment.
Let's start with the most critical aspect— the food. Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes did not meet the standard I once associated with Red Robin. The flavors were lackluster, and it seemed like the kitchen might have missed the mark on preparation. The disappointment in the food overshadowed the positive memories I had of this restaurant.
To make matters worse, the draft beer system was broken during our visit. This was a letdown for those looking forward to enjoying a refreshing beer with their meal. Furthermore, the limited availability of both beers and wines was surprising. Red Robin has always been known for its variety, so the fact that they were out of most options was a letdown.
To add to the list of disappointments, the dessert menu was also affected. They were out of ice cream, leaving us without a sweet ending to our meal. It's disheartening when a restaurant falls short on such basic offerings.
Despite these drawbacks, I must commend our server for her exceptional service. She managed to navigate the challenges with a positive attitude and efficiency, making the dining experience more bearable. Her efforts were the only bright spot in an otherwise lackluster visit.
In conclusion, Red Robin seems to have lost some of its charm and quality. The issues with the food, broken draft beer system, limited beverage options, and the unavailability of desserts left a lasting impression of disappointment. While our server's exceptional service was a saving grace, it was not enough to salvage the overall experience. I hope Red Robin addresses these issues promptly to regain its reputation for providing a satisfying...
Read moreStopped in around 8pm on a Saturday for the first time in probably 5 yrs. Was seated in the bar area in a booth. Overhead lighting is a little bright depending on where you're at in the booth. Ordered a half and half sweet tea. Pretty sure they don't brew their own tea because it tasted like something I've bought from the store before but it was fine. Our server was the only one in the bar area and he was slow. I ordered the KEEP IT SIMPLE burger and bottomless fries. My husband ordered the whisky river BBQ chicken sandwich. He really loved his, tasted the same as it always did however it was half the size it used to be and it was $16 and change. Mine was PITIFUL and almost $15. Red Robin no longer uses fresh beef to make their hamburger patties. They're using frozen burgers that have zero flavor. Whatever the pic shows on the menu is a complete oversell of what you actually get. These are by no means gourmet burgers when the patties are flavorless hunks of garbage. They have other food that's most likely better and it's all centered around chicken but if you remember red Robin from years back, this was the biggest disappointment ever. The only saving grace was the bottomless steak fries were good but we waited forever for the waiter to come back and ask if we needed anything else. I will not be going back. You can get a better burger at Wendy's...
