This place was horrible! HORRIBLE. It took forever to be seated when the place wasn't busy. After that, I ordered a Chile Rellano.... Well if any of you enjoy them you know what they look like and what they are (so do I) and what they served me as a CHILE RELLANO was instead a stuffed BELL PEPPER with a type of cheesey gravy consistency of a biscuits and gravy. I couldn't even tell it was a stuffed BELL pepper bc it was so squished. I asked for them to take it back because I didn't touch it. The manager came over and proceeded to give me a lecture about how I maybe got a different Chile rellano at other places but that wasn't what they serve. I kept saying I understood but that I still didnt like it, that I'll know for next time. I wasn't giving him any grief, I already felt bad for sending it back. Instead he continued to lecture me, and once again I repeated I understand only for him to conclude that he would take it off anyway. Why go through that with me if I wasn't being rude to you? After everything was said and done, we waited for 15 minutes to receive our check after we had said we were ready to leave. Their mellow yellow also was all carbonation, no syrup, but after the hard time he gave me about the misunderstanding of the rellano; I didn't feel like I could ask for a different drink. Their demeanor turned cold towards us. We just wanted to leave as soon as possible after all that. Hope your experience was...
Read moreI went 5 minutes with no drink with my mouth on fire while my waiter threw himself through the silver doors to kitchen followed by a round of applause and laughter. He did this 4 times until he finally heard my raised voice and my finger pointing at him. He refilled my drink. I told him I would need another quickly. His Manager started taking care of our table. When I told no guacamole, he said oh, we'll put it on the side. I said put it on my wife's plate. He said no, on the side. I finally raised my voice and told him not to put guacamole anywhere on my plate. He delivered our meals. My wife had ordered Xtra sour cream and got a good size dish. I got a teaspoon on top of shredded lettuce. I asked for extra sour cream. He said you have some there on your plate. I said that will not be enough. He pointed at my wife's bowl. I said, that is for her dinner. With the Manager came up to hear the waiter inform me Sour Cream is not free. She asked is there a problem? I said yes, this young man says I have plenty of sour cream and it isn't free. I want more sour cream for my fajitas. From that point she took over.
My bill. From what I can figure my bill should have been $49. It was $58 but I was not allowed a detailed receipt. I left a $10 tip for the Manager.
You have been our favorite Mexican restaurant for somewhere near 9 years. We come from Anderson to eat there. We will be finding a new...
Read moreOmg, one of my favorite Hispanic restaurants has gotten a new bar area! My wife and I absolutely love this place for it's queso hand variety of food. Pricing is fair at about 12-16 a plate but all of their meals are massive. I have never had a bad experience with this restaurant yet and I recommend Dos Amigos for friends and family. The staff checked on is to ensure the food was to our liking.
I usually try to find something new to try each time I go somewhere. This time I assumed for one of their picco dishes and I think it's a new favorite. Personally I try to do a critique of the restaurant if I notice anything off. I couldn't really say anything this time. Bathrooms were spotless, tables and floors were clean, food came out fast.
I didn't sit at the bar this time but I noticed it had about 3 flat screens lights under the stools giving off a cool look, a separate door if you wanted just alcohol and not food. Definitely gonna take my buddies here next time I'm off work.
(Edit: it has been awhile but I have to dock a star. I visited about a week ago. Everything was fine, until I bit into my rice and found a rock within. Immediately lost my appetite. I love this restaurant but that ruined my...
