WOW! This place is seriously unlike any other wing place out there! The door handles are pressure washer handles- and you are greeted and seated as soon as you walk in the door. Once inside, your senses are in for a truly unique experience! You will see Harley Davidson motorcycle, dirt bikes, all sorts of old school pictures, awards, newspaper clippings, and even an all-original corvette which sits right over a seating area! You can literally smell the wings as they are being made to order, and they have A LOT of tasty sauces- ranging from sweet BBQ.. to garlicy parmesan... to mild ranch... to just plain hot! They even offer an atomic sauce! These are special- you have to sign a piece of paper before you can even order them- an EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK because they are soooooo hot! But for right around ten dollars, you can step up to the plate and see if you can handle it. If you finish, your name goes on the Wall of Fame (or Hall of Flame as I'd like to call it) plus you get a t-shirt so what's it gonna hurt to try? As if the wings weren't enough for your taste buds, they offer a hearty selection of appetizers, sides, burgers, steaks, shrimp and more. All with an amazing selection of beverages like soda, lemonade, beer, fruity cocktails, specialty drinks with a mug you get to keep, and more! You hear laughing and music and can tell people come here for a good time! They have a lot of cruise-ins for motorcycles and auto clubs, but offer a family-friendly dining experience as well! They even have a kids day! The staff is friendly and courteous, the food is delicious, and even though it can get a little expensive here, they offer a lot of great deals and several specials throughout the week and you're sure to find one or two new favorites! Watch t.v. or play your luck at the games offered- place your bets on this one-of-a-kind place! Although you can't touch most of the displays, you can order bone-in or boneless wings and get your hands filthy by digging in and trying as many different sauces as you can! Don't worry, they won't forget the wet wipes! You can dine in, call ahead and order, or place your order right there. I enjoyed the atmosphere so much, I even applied for a job and was interviewed on-the-spot! Wether I do or do not get hired, I can more than assure you that I will know exactly what I want to eat next time my boyfriend asks me! You won't be disappointed ladies and gents- you're gonna...
Read moreI can see why this place wasn’t very busy while others around were packed. Quaker Steak used to be the spot to go to but it seems to have gone down a bit. The customer service was great and the atmosphere as well but the food was subpar. The salad dressing options were not great (need to add balsamic vinaigrette and French dressing). The steak was pretty fatty so I didn’t finish it. The bits I did eat were cooked properly and flavorful. I didn’t like that there wasn’t a dip for the onion rings. Other restaurants have the peach colored sauce that is delicious for the onion rings so I highly recommend they add that to the menu. The waitress brought out two sauces to try with them, one being the bbq sauce, but I didn’t care for the flavor. I normally enjoy bbq sauce but theirs was not it. The other sauce was some spicy sauce and it was terrible so I’m surprised anyone likes it. The baked potato and plain onion rings tasted great though. We shared the loaded fries appetizer and it was delicious so props on that dish for sure. The mozzarella sticks were also good. Another issue is, yes it is winter but the bathrooms were like sitting inside an oven. I don’t know why the heat is so focused in these rooms. I was only in long enough to pee, wash my hands, and get out and I was dying from the heat. Overall it was a half decent birthday dinner for my son but I wouldn’t come back...
Read moreHave always loved Quaker Steak & Lube and actually used to visit the original location quite often. In our latest visit however, it appears to have lost its touch and seems to be a bit rundown.
First of all, the tables were sticky because the varnish is old and wearing off. When I say sticky, like gross sticky to where It's a challenge to lift anything off of it, even your hand. It's so bad. In fact, the waitress mentioned it and explained why It was happening. With explanation or not, It makes the experience less enjoyable and subconsciously makes you think it's dirty.
Next, the menu has changed quite a bit. You get a lot less and pay a lot more. No more onion rings on an antenna, no more combos.. The price of everything seems to have almost doubled and the portions are much much smaller. Of course this seems to be happening everywhere with inflation after covid, however, just not getting the value for the product with the price they expect to be paid here. I would not say that with any restaurant, because we have been to plenty since covid and at least the food quality hasn't suffered like it has here.
Giving a few stars because the server we had was excellent. The prices have gone through the roof with a decline in value. The food was just okay. The most disappointing part was no licorice...
