I booked this hotel for 3 nights on business because I have previously had good experiences with America's Best, but this one was the WORST! The hotel prices in this area are ridiculously HIGH because of the oil companies booking rooms for their workers. This is unfortunate for the travelers and people coming for other work in the area. I had to pay twice the price I would expence to pay for this type of hotel. Room was very basic. Remote didn't work well. Room was advertised to come to a "continental breakfast." When I arrived I asked what time the breakfast was avaiable and was told that they were renovating and there would be NO breakfast. I asked to speak with the manager to get some adjustment on my rate for this, as it was advertised incorrectly. The clerk told me she was gone. I asked her to call her. She refused and said she would have her call whenever she came in. I did get a call when I arrived at my room...not from the manager, but from the clerk, saying she had spoken with the manager and she would upgrade the room to a king OR I had the option to leave. Because these hotels are booked well in advance in this area and at even higher prices, leaving wasn't an option, and I didn't need a king room for one person. I asked for just $5 per day adjustment. She asked the manager, who again refused. I find this service ridiculous. I stayed 2 nights and found another GREAT hotel (had to may 50% more). When I checked out at 6:45 am, there was NO ONE at the front desk and the door was locked with a note saying to ring the bell. I rang and rang and rang. Finally had to call on the phone...then wait another 10 minutes for the manager to arrive. No smile. No greeting. I told her I needed a credit for the one night on my credit card which she did. No thank you. No "how was your stay." Nothing. Another woman was also checking out..very unhappy...telling me there was a cockroach in her bathtub and asking for credit as well. They can get away with these HIGH rates and POOR service because the CAN. Travelers have no choice in this area because of the OIL companies. The Chamber of Commerce should look into...
Read moreFirst room they put us in was filthy. Second was no better. Sheets were stained, mattresses stained. Very low light and it isn't hard to see why they would keep it this way. Keys to second one didn't open the room so they suggested that we walk around the building and use the interior door. Bathtub so corroded that there is not a stopper. Toilet tissue in the floor and has been wet. No rod in the toilet tissue holde to hang a new roll. Ice bucket filthy. Half used bottle of shampoo on the counter where a new one should be. Bedside table dirty and the walls are dirty too. This place needs a visit from the health department. Considering sleeping in our car. Just not sure that I can make myself get into that bed. Not a chance that I will shower in the bathroom. Bugs on the walls and the coffee pot isn't even rinsed out much less washed. There is no kitchen in the room, and there is no breakfast. Update to morning .... didn't sleep on their sheets, but did spend from 2am to 630am in the room at least resting. Left when I saw (and posted pics of) the first of twenty or so bed bugs. I have been staying in hotels all my life and I have never come across one this bad! Front desk acted like she was shocked that the condition of the room was bad, but there is no way that she was given the reviews I have now read. (Did not read the correct reviews before I checked in due to a mistake on my part. I used to live in town and this was the best western ... I checked the reviews on the best western. It was not until after check in that I realized that this place is no longer the best western. I'm not surprised that BW wouldn't want their name...
Read moreDisgusting. My husband is a pipeliner so we really had no choice I’m staying here we needed something quick. $687 a week and they don’t come clean the room. Stayed in one room for the entire first week we were here and I had to clean our room (which didn’t really bother me) and had to hunt down the housekeeper to get clean towels. A day before we were supposed to pay for another week, the sewer backed up in this hell hole and our room flooded with 2 inches of sewer water. We had to fight the bitter lady at the front to move us to a new room. The next day I woke up to banging on my door with her DEMANDING me to pay her or “get out. You don’t get your stuff till you pay me” so I had to call and interrupt my husband at work to pay over the phone. Instead of paying almost $300 for a room per night he paid her for another week. She threw it in my face that she did us a favor by moving us to a new room when it wasn’t our fault their hotel flooded. We paid for a week but we are leaving tomorrow. Doubtful that our money will be refunded even though the second room we were put into is nasty. Dirty wash rags in the shower and gum on the wall by the bed. I have never seen a dirtier motel in my life. The health department needs to take a good look at this place and the manager needs to take a class on customer service. (The housekeeper was super nice. Even though she doesn’t...
