Mohegan Sun Casino is often compared to its larger counterpart, Foxwoods, located just 30 minutes away. However, my recent visit made it clear that size isn't everything. While Mohegan Sun has its unique charm, I found it to be smaller and less engaging than I had hoped.
One of the highlights of any casino visit is the dining experience, but my time at the Italian restaurant, Tuscany, was disappointing. The food was served cold and overly salted, detracting from what should have been a delightful meal. The staff did not seem attentive, which added to my frustration.
As for the casino itself, the drink situation left much to be desired. Drinks were watered down and quite expensive, which is typical for a casino, but I expected a bit more. If you're not actively playing, it feels like the service drops off significantly.
The entertainment options were limited. Unless you’re there to gamble, you might find yourself feeling a bit bored. The shops were sparse, and a number of them were closed during my visit on a Saturday afternoon.
Overall, my experience at Mohegan Sun Casino didn’t live up to my expectations. Though it has its moments, I would likely choose other surrounding casinos as my preferred destination for a more vibrant and enjoyable...

Read moreI will never forget my experience here! Attended for job related conference....every staff I encountered displayed professionalism, kindness and attentive to any question or need. The entire place was luxurious and well kept. A variety of entertainment options and places to eat, among my favorites Tao and Gallo. The best scenery for me and there was so many at this place, the most serene was the 7th floor view of my hotel window at dusk, sitting on the chair staring at the pond and trees. I will definitely be back to...
