Normally Hash a go go is my fav breakfast place, I have eaten there for other meals and the food is always great and service perfect.
Unfortunately today was really awful all the way around.
We got there right before 8am to avoid a line, and to not have to wait too long for food. Since this restaurant is in Mohegan Sun, and it’s a weekend we thought that would make sense.
We were seated immediately, and it was only half full so we were excited to eat and get on our way.
We asked for coffee with almond milk, and after no coffee came and no one took our order, I flagged down the waitress. She said I didn’t bring your coffee because there’s no almond milk.
It would have been nice to hear that before we had to flag her down but... we put our order in and waited. We waited 45 minutes, I flagged her down again, and she said we only have 1 or 2 cooks but our food would be out.
Somewhat frustrated we waited some more and 10 minutes later my husband got his meal, and I did not.
More I’m sorry but our kitchen is busy. At the 1 hour mark, after my hubby finished his food, I get mine. I ordered a vegetable hash no eggs. This is not a special order or difficult prep. Instead I get lukewarm to cool hash browns and veggies. They look like they were microwaved. No fry marks, along with a broken cold biscuit. No honey no butter.
The Waitress leaves and I don’t get a chance to say what’s wrong, but shortly after she returns she asks if it’s cold (she psychic) and I say yes. She wants to take it back and ensures me it will be fixed.
I know she tried but it came back again gross, mushy, and looked like it came out of a frozen bag.
I don’t usually complain about restaurants because perhaps it’s a one time thing.
But this was really ridiculous. If your name is Hash a go go, and you can’t fry food because you have no cook — don’t open. Full disclosure the waitress did take it off the bill, but this is a high end “farm to table” joint. I’m just asking to have the food make it to the griddle. And no one should have to watch their party eat while they wait for food. This isn’t a diner, and honestly a diner would have cooked the food.
Really bummed —- not likely to return to that destination as we weren’t at the casino, we came particularly for...
Read moreCame here a few years ago when the hours were more accessible to get in. The food and everything was great. Since COVID, the hours got restricted immensely to the point where almost everytime I got to Moheghan, they were never open. The last two times, including today, when they were open, I now know why the hours have not opened back up. Today I arrived, I was by myself and had to go see a hostess to sit a the bar. Figured there would be no issue as I saw there were 4 seats open with only about 4 people sitting at the bar. I was told there was a wait lost of 5/6 people ahead of me. Never have I gone somewhere woth open bar seating and have been told there was a wait list, how the hell does that work? Why would people just not be seated and if they have to wait at the bar so be it. The last time I tried to get in, back in December, I got there plenty of time before they close. I waited in the the hostess line for approx 30 minutes and when I git to the front kf the line, I was told they had no more room for the rest of the night even though they were open for another 30 minutes adter that time. I understand not having room, I completely get that, but how much shitty customer service can you have to let me and multiple others behind me wait in a line for s o long and not tell them until they get to the front of the line. There's no reason someone couldn't have walked by and let anyone know. There's a reason the hours haven't opened up more since COVID and it's probably because of the bs like I just shared!!! Very, very unlikely to attempt again and will be letting everyone I know about my...
Read moreChanging my review, now back for the 3rd time I hoped last year's experience was a blip on the radar but this year the same rude service from the hostess and staff again. If the food wasn't so good we would go.else where. Manager clearly has no clue how to be in hospitality letting his staff talk to people the way they do. I understand it's busy but you don't need to be rude andile we are lucky to be here.. it's been 3 plus years since my review below and the food is still great but every staff member other than the servers are trash
Was at the buffet next door & asked for a refund after I saw what was being served so i then walked back over here to Hash a-go-go where there was quite a wait but now i know why! I was offered to find a seat at the bar/counter, as I looked for a seat I saw 2 people waiting to finish up. Their server saw me waiting & immediately said hi, offering a menu & acknowledging he would seat me there as soon as they finished, would i like coffee in meantime. His name was Danny Melendez and not only was his attentive, welcoming service amazing but the food was delicious! I could have just had endless plates of bacon & their phenomenal coffee it was that good! However I asked Danny his opinion, french toast will grilled banana or their bigger than your head pancakes (both looked impressive) Danny confidently said the french toast! Long story short.. EAT HERE for every meal & ask for Danny! I am the 1st to complain when something isn't right but this was a homerun so I...
