Read moreNever again! Small arena so all seats are great… but seats are squished, I’m a big guy I had row a seats but I was squishing this poor lady so I moved to the side stage seating, security approached me to ask me to move I explained I was squishing a lady he said that’s nice of you let me get it approved for you to stay, usher approved me staying in the empty seat. Half way through the show more security came with a manager to remove me from the seat. I tried to explain to her but she was rude and dint care what I had to say cutting me off when I was trying to explain the situation. She told me I had to leave the stadium I got up and followed her down stairs. I tried to explain again she kept sayin who who who told you it was ok. I remained calm and nice I asked to speak to a supervisor she said she is the supervisor. As I was surrounded by security like I was irate or a threat (I was calm and nice)I saw the original security girl who was there when I was approved to sit in that spot she said he was being Courteous to another patron so the usher approved him to be there! She said fine aggravated and told me go go back to your seat! No apology for embarrassing me making a scene. and making me miss some of the show. I’ve done venue security for 17 years if I ever treated a customer like that I would be fired! I was excited to go to the show and left 1/2 way through because I was embarrassed and upset I was removed when all she had to do is radio and listen to me instead of treating me the way she did! Really disappointed in the way things went I won’t go back there. I hope that after this review they train their staff better on how to handle the public, and what’s not ok to do...
Read more(3.5) Last night, I went to the best concert I’ve ever attended (Incubus) and it was my first time here! I like that they had fans facing the pit that kept us nice and cool. I also like that the venue was super clean and the floors weren’t sticky or anything. HOWEVER, I did not like the way the venue staff treated us at the end of the night.
As soon as the lights went up, the venue staff started pushing people in the pit back away from the stage when there was no room to go anywhere. Like literally putting their hands on people. They didn’t even give people the chance to catch their breath or to move on their own once they had the space to do so. While I was talking to one of the workers (who was very respectful) to ask if I could have the setlist that was left on stage, another worker came up to me and was about to put his hands on me to push me away from the stage. I turned to the guy before he could and said “don’t touch me” and he said “okay well it’s time to go” and I responded “okay but that doesn’t give you the right to touch me.”
The whole exchange left a bad taste in my mouth. I work at a music venue so I understand how difficult it can be to direct traffic out of the venue after a show but we never get physical because that’s just not okay. There are kinder ways to tell people to leave than using physical force. Please do better in that...
