FRONT DESK LIED TO ME. I asked for first floor quiet side and was told there were NO available rooms. This morning as I walked my dog around the back I saw almost every room EMPTY on the first floor back.
I told her I needed a tub. She gave me a room on the front side with no tub. It had highway noise even though she said it didn't. I had to run the A/c all night and still it didn't drown it out.
The bathroom door is damaged -- for a BRAND NEW hotel? And the shower flange wasn't even attached to the wall. The door to the room creaks like a haunted house whenever you open it.
BREAKFAST? At 6:01 am the eggs and potatoes were already cold. The sausage was disgusting.
Don't be fooled by this being "brand new." They cut corners and are MORE expensive than the other LQ in Mount Laurel. I had first gone to that one by mistake and they were so nice, but I didn't want to get charged by this location if I cancelled.
I'm so sorry I drove another 15-20 minutes to this "new" facility.
I'm still fuming over the desk clerk literally LYING and not assigning me a room I wanted which was, at it turns out, quite available.
I'm a Diamond Member. I've stayed almost exclusively at La Quinta Hotels for the last 90 days.
They didn't even have the goodie bag for me.
Their food stuff is ridiculously overpriced. An item that's $2 at Walmart is $8.00!
The mini-fridge doesn't have a freezer section. There are almost no TV channels. The room is either incredibly dark, or too bright based on switches operating multiple locations. The bar is only open a few hours on weekends. Pretty useless if you're a weeknight guest.
The two end doors work as exits but you can't come back in them as they're "broken." Mind you, this place is BRAND NEW. What happened to quality control before opening your doors to the public? The desk is directly beneath a ginormous TV screen so if you want to work on your computer, you get a headache being so close to the television.
I had considered extending to a second night, but after discovering that they had LIED to me... and the fact that I could've had a bath last night in a different room... I'm checking out....
Read moreI’ve been coming to the FunPlex since I was a child in middle school. So the fact that they put a hotel next to this establishment was completely genius! However, I stayed with my fiancé at the time (now husband) when they first opened. It was new but still a great stay. Since we’ve stayed multiple times and things are declining. More recently my husband checked in before me and had issues with his check in and asked to speak with the manager. He wasn’t available. We did catch up with him (Daniel) the next day and he was HORRIBLE. I mean very dismissive and proceeded to act as if our complaints weren’t valid. Our sheets weren’t changed from the previous person that stated in that room. I say that because they smelled like sweat and still had stains on them. The top sheet was still damp so it’s clear that’s what was changed. There was either Dog or cat hair on the chair in the room. Now I understand being pet friendly which I’m not complaining about. I’m an animal lover with 3dogs and 1 cat. So understand I’m not complaining about the hotel being pet friendly. It’s housekeeping not catching it and fixing it before the next guest comes in. Then he stated that he will take care of the situation. Which he didn’t. At that point he said what he thought we wanted to hear just to get us out of his face. We let it go because we realized that we weren’t going to get anywhere. Breakfast could be better but it’s not bad. The bar compensates for ALOT. Becca is a rockstar. All in all the staff at the front desk is remarkable Arabella, Chris, Khloe and the young lady who’s name I didn’t write down I apologize. I will stay again but I was very unsatisfied with my last stay. Arabella listened and understood my frustration. Offered me points but I’m not looking for compensation. I love the FunPlex and enjoy the fact that I can bring my children someplace I went all the time when I was child. The getaway (hotel) is a bonus and just want y'all...
Read moreMy parents travel through the state often and stay at this hotel monthly or more. This was the first time that they've ever had an issue, so I did want that to be known. This was however my first time there and we had issues. The room that was reserved had two queen beds and a desk/desk chair and an orange chair in the corner since there's no night stand next to the beds on one side. The chair was missing. We remedied this by calling the front desk and the sweet security officer man brought one to us within a half hr. We reserved a room for 4 people and the hotel knew this. They gave us only three sets of towels, so we had to request more. The tub plug didn't work properly, so I had to bathe my toddler in 2 inches of water. The floors were filthy. I'm talking filthy like dust bunnies filthy on the sides of the bed and next to the desk. They clearly have not been cleaned or vacuumed properly in awhile.
