It’s totally a 50/50 here at rcbc, the advising lines are always hours behind and they tell you thirty minutes but you’re waiting a hour or a hour and a half just looking for help. I feel like it’s all you expect from a community college. Some of the professors are out of this world amazing, and they give you an amazing experience and education. But the staff behind rcbc is where it lacks. To gain knowledge about your degree and your future it’s all delayed gratification. To meet with a in person advisor expect to wait at least a hour at all times of the day. I’m a student and every time i have come to meet with an advisor I’m waiting over a hour and I’ve been a student here. We pay money to come here and learn, and the only way the money makes sense is in your classes when you get a good professor and learn. Other than that I think it’s very unprofessional. The front desk told me the line would be about thirty minutes, but now waiting 45 minutes past I am only moved forward in line one person. The educators are great just the formation behind them lack professionalism and efficiency. There is no urgency or care it feels like when you are trying to meet with someone to discuss your future at their establishment. You have to be here to know the environment at RCBC, and it’s not the best first college experience one can get. They try but it’s not the best. You’re getting what you paid for by expecting too much out of a community college. The campus may look pretty on the outside but a college campus is much more behind just the looks. Good luck to everyone with their classes, it’s a shame for people that actually want a education and this is all...
Read moreThis is my 2nd semester here at RCBC and I can honestly say that I’ve met some of the most amazing people here. I’ve heard so many great things about the school and I can honestly say that I’m very disappointed that the school did not live up to its expectations. We were promised a warm welcome, friendly staff and a positive environment to thrive and grow. Me and my friends had been, for lack of a better word, verbally harassed by a staff in the student life. Adrianne Dahms has been displeased with our presence since the beginning of last semester due to unknown reasons. She has been referring to our friend group using derogatory terms like “nasty” and “disgusting”. I find this super unprofessional because she is deemed a trustworthy staff of the school. A couple of days ago, she came to our lounge table and said that we couldn’t watch our friends’ belongings whom were in classes. She then started to call a public safety officer over to check all our IDs and belongings. Not only was this extremely unnecessary, it was also extremely humiliating to us, especially in front of everyone in Student Success Center. For a professional and grown woman, I expected so much more from the staff. I really hope the school will do something about this unmannered behavior and we will be filing complains towards the school to bring this...
Read moreIf you care about your mental health don’t go here. They lied about having a cafeteria, so students paid tuition not knowing they couldn’t get a meal at school. Super disorganized and a mess with covid, a shame because some professors are good. I made over 4 appointments last semester with financial aid and “walk up” advisors. First of all you will wait an hour or more and they don’t let you schedule in advance. Filled out homeless paperwork the first day of classes in fall for my fasfa. The FA department emailed me after they didn’t answer my 6+ attempts to contact them this summer then sent me an email about how they’d mail me a paper with some questions. (Homeless means I didn’t have a house to send a letter too) After my second meeting they assured me I was all set, I filled out the papers. That my AID package would be available in a week. Next month nothing was showing up so I went back. They apologized and said the lady was out for a month, said definitely next week. This happened again and again until a Thanksgiving where I was told I couldn’t apply for the FASFA because I needed all types of documents (that I asked about the first day of classes). Got a rude email from the FA guy a day later. Don’t go to RCBC these people just want your money, and if you don’t have it they treat...
