Ohhh where to start. The long wait time for a few drinks, the one bartender who was doing whatever while the female one tried to deal with a group of us on a ghost tour. The incorrect drink we got, which I will say the female bartender tried to rectify via another one on the house. Tragically the one we got was worse than the original. Had the flavor of thinned out KFC Masterpiece BBQ sauce and sour mix. Perhaps the debris in the drink was a dry rub that fell in said Magnolia beverage.
But wait there is more! What's behind that sparkly green door? If you act now you can bear witness to the worse toliet in NOLA. You remember that scene from train spotting, yeah that would have been an upgrade. I have seen war crimes that weren't as disturbing. In the spirt of laissez bons temp rouler someone in the female's bathroom decided seat off was the new fashion. Then in a Piero Manzoni /Jackson Pollock flair our dedicated artist started the first wave of what I will call coprophilia croûte of course others assisted because why not? My girlfriend was the one who put the seat back on because my 10 year old needs not fall in something worse than a flooded Bourbon St. The owners shouldn't be surprised if a class action lawsuit occurs from all the women that night for PTSD.
The magnolia tree in the bar was cool and the bartender did her best to try and fix her error. But at that point the deal was done. The diseal ship was on fire and going down and you can't spit out a grease fire. I thought lessons were learned throughout history but if not let us all remember from this. Never again will be the chat sang from...
Read moreWe just moved to the FQ and I happened to find this amazing, quaint bar making a run to the local hardware store and oh lawdy, it has amazing pizza (can get by the slice) with homemade ranch dressing. I had the pleasure to meet the owner Madi who was generous and informed me of all the delectable offerings they have, and some back story. If you're close to Louie Armstrong park (the establishment is right across the street from the main entrance). Need a drink and slice of great pizza, this is your go to place (the pizza reminds me of the pizza I ate in Sicily :)) - The staff are kind and pleasant and we were corrected kindly when my wife and I started to walk out and forgot to pay and the bartender was kind in saying, "so, are we paying today" - thank for the kind reminder!! He could of said, Hey, you (fill in the blank) but instead used humor. Now, there are few 1-star reviews I read and I will be blunt - they must have some false sense of where they were.... it is a locally owned great place that welcomes all, no matter what your flavor or slant is... and if there is an issue just make it known, don't be passive-aggressive and leave 1-Star ratings, be an adult because the staff and owner want you to have a...
Read moreRude staff. We stopped by around 3pm on a Wednesday to grab a quick drink. We ordered two beers from the bar (which just required the bartender to reach into the fridge, open the can, and then hand us the can). My boyfriend paid the $11 tab on his card and I was going to cover the tip with cash when we left. The bartender proceeded to grab the receipt, look at it in front of us, then yelled at us for not tipping and THREW the tab on the table. Had he not done that, he would have received his cash tip from me. We did not fight back on this behavior, as we did not want to stoop to his level. Absolutely unprofessional, not necessary, and greedy. For management - if you are going to advertise a âNo Hateâ environment on your front door, please ensure you educate the staff that tipping, although customary, is voluntary and that the staff should live by the brandâs image. Otherwise, the location and atmosphere is nice. But I will not return and advise caution to...
