I don't even understand how this place has the rating it does. It's absolutely DISGUSTING here. I'll start with the room. Sheets are stained, walls are peeling, tub is stained and rusted, air vent in bathroom is caked in dust, edge of the bathroom tub looked moldy, room door didn't close easily, wierd smell over all, cigarettes litter the outside and my favorite part....... sink just spills out water. Others smoke in the hallways which is awful because it "SUPPOSED" to be a no smoking building and we had our toddlers with us. There are long term residents there. Someone window was wide open while we were unpacking and we noticed they had 3 microwaves and 2 mini fridge. We will never be back. It was soooo uncomfortable I couldn't sleep and in no way were any of us going to take a shower. We would have gotten out dirtier. Please don't stay here. I know it cheap and in a pickle it seems like a smart idea, but pay the extra $50 for a more respectable hotel. Especially if you have little ones with you. We saved some money but it wasn't worth it. Look at the pics, I literally took them the second we walked in the room.

The review score shown does not reflect the quality of the hotel. When we first arrived, the area seemed a bit sketchy and the room a bit dirty bit but we were ok dealing with it for the time. The bathtub was dirty but as someone who has used communal campsite showers, I had seen worse. We decided to go out to eat and upon coming back noticed a huge roach in side entry way and our awareness of the situation went into over drive. We decided to do a bed check, lifted up the fitted sheet, and found multiple stains of various colors and long hairs all over. We also noticed the outlet being used for the microwave, fridge, and TV was a huge electrical fire hazzard with splitters on top of splitters being used for high current draw devices. At that point we didn't want to see anymore and left. I would like to thank the front desk for giving us refund for our troubles.

HORRIBLE HOTEL!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!! THE SMELL OF WHATEVER WEIRD AIR DEODORIZER CAUSED MY WIFE TO HAVE AN ASTHMA ATTACK!! THE BED MATTRESS IN OUR ROOM DID NOT COVER THE STEEL METAL FRAME AND I HURT MY LEG WHEN I BUMPED INTO IT! NO CARPET ON THE FLOOR OF OUR ROOM, BUT THE HALLWAY CARPET REEKED! ROOM FURNITURE LOOKED LIKE IT WAS FROM THE 1970'S. PEELING STUCCO ONTHE BATHROOM CEILING ABOVE THE BATHTUB, AND FILTHY LOOKING SHOWER HEAD! ALSO, A LAMP NEXT TO THE BED WAS MISSING A LIGHT BULB. THIS PLACE IS RUN OR OWNED BY PEOPLE FROM INDIA. AND THE ONE HOUSEKEEPER DIDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH. WE HAD TO SHOW HER THE LAMP WITH THE MISSING BULB.

The location is the ONLY redeemable quality of this hotel.

Desperate for a hotel, I called town after town looking for any vacancy in ANY hotel on our drive from Pennsylvania to Michigan, we finally found this place at around 7am. We booked and paid for the room in person at the location. Because of the very late(early?) check-in, we asked if there was a later check out than 11am, and offered to pay for it, and the worker at the front desk told us that yes, yes, yes! She would make sure that we had that. The room was exactly what one would assume of a $64/night room, which was fine, but what was unacceptable was the dirty appearance of the bathroom, the uncomfortably lumpy bed, and the sheets/pillow cases that smelled of what I can only describe as “past guests”.

We got up at 11:30, and while in the shower/bathroom, were greeted with heavy rapping at the door, followed by faster and heavier knocking a minute after we yelled from the bathroom that we would be out …in a minute. Opening the door while in a towel is not something we’re accustomed to having to do, and it was very uncomfortable being spoken to in such a demeaning way, the individual demanding that we vacate the premises immediately as late check out is strictly to be adhered to no later than 11:30AM! When we said we asked to pay for late check out and that we had only checked in 4 hours prior, we were told that we would have the POLICE called on us because “we had dead-bolted the door”-but if we hadn’t, we would have been walked in on in a state of undress- and the worker barked at us that he had been knocking for ten minutes… It was literally TWO minutes from the time he started bothering us, as we heard the knocking immediately and responded by coming to the door NAKED! We received no phone calls from them, asked why not, and were then harassed to leave. I’ve never been threatened with the police before, and do not ever plan to be again.

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE. If you have any value or self respect, you’d do better to stay away from this den of misery.

I didn’t plan to leave a review so I don’t have any photos, but you can imagine what the cheapest room available looks like, and you’d be correct. Not Chernobyl grade,...

Desperate for a hotel room for the night, my husband and I decided on here. First and foremost, I worked at this exact hotel 14 years ago when it was Quality Inn. I can assure you that the basement room that they put us in had all the same furnishings and probably the same towels from when I was there. The TV didn’t work. The linens were dirty. The room reeked of black mold and it was extremely hard to breathe. The bathroom was dirty and neither one of us showered because we felt we would come out dirtier than we were going in. Then we found yellow jackets in the room, which my husband is highly allergic to. When I tried to call up to the front desk, numerous times, no one answered. When my husband went up to speak to someone at the front desk, there was no one to be found. Whatever, we were tired and went to sleep. Upon waking in the morning we found a cockroach roaming around on the floor and immediately packed our stuff up and left. I tried calling up to the front desk again before we left with no answer as well, but what I presume to be management wandering around everywhere on their cellphones. After we left, I called to complain about everything that happened, and JP or whatever his name was, which is irrelevant because he was absolutely no help and extremely rude, he asked me to come back and show him the roach, which I absolutely was not. He told me that they have Orkin come and spray, and I’m assuming because Orkin sprayed one time, they think that’s enough to keep the bugs away. He told me that we were put in a basement room because we booked online, which we didn’t, my husband purchased a room in person. He asked why I didn’t stop at the front desk and talk to someone, but by that time I was already disgusted with my entire experience there. I would say that this place needs condemned, but then the people that actually live there, who they rent most of the newer rooms on the second floor to, would be homeless. Maybe they don’t have roaches up there? Who knows. All I know is that I will never be back and I will make sure people know what they are in for if they do indeed decide to lodge with Red Roof in...

KP was extremely helpful and friendly. He told me where to park and which door to enter to be closest to my room. He met us at the door and carried our bags, and walked us to the room. When I later called to ask about the WiFi password, he later knocked on the door to ask if we connected okay. He offered me free bottles of water upon check-in and checkout. He told us repeatedly that if there was anything he could do to make our stay more comfortable, please let him know. This was the best service I have ever received at a hotel, and I usually stay at much more expensive places than this. KP is the best hotel clerk ever!

The room was old, but recently updated with fresh paint and furniture. It was noticeably very clean. Not a speck of dust anywhere. The room was just a little bit larger than the usual hotel room.

It was not perfect, of course. The bottom of the bathroom door was a little rusted. It was not noticeable unless you looked for it. The TV was a little smaller than I am used to, but not a big deal, really.

The price was great. The location was great, near a few 24-hour businesses. I usually stay at Hilton Hotels, but I will stay here again if I am ever...
